Very VERY complimentary. Great read http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic/241785-well-done-dingles-thread/?st=0
And some remarkably good humour... 'Be some sisters hiding in Dingleland tonight. ' 'High sixes all round' 'Well done to the tykes, I for one will enjoy visiting the Dingle Peninsula again next season.'
Aww it's nice to be loved. True some one of it is they didn't want to go anywhere near Millwall but there is some genuine delight that they have a nice derby to look forwards to
Nah.... not him. He was driving us home last night. And if he'd won a grand he wouldn't be able to hide his delight.
This post is amusing..... Rotherham will struggle again now they have lost Colin. Burton will probably be the northern version of Yeovil/Colchester/Southend for finding the second tier very difficult. Always at least one side near the bottom you'd not expect to be there. Reading could be a good outsider for relegation. I've faith we can at least finish 4th bottom. Be surprised if anyone who was part of our success ends up at Brizzle. Everyone knows they are loved here and that they can achieve something. They probably won't want to start again winning over a new club hours away, settling in etc. Someone might have had we not gone up.
The not so complimentary post. Straight back down and will lose best player to Bristol. I know media keeps linking key players but I would be very suprised and dissapointed if Hammill and/or Mawson made the move to Bristol. You could say LJ signed em but both have played better since he left us. And I get the feeling Hecky has a good relationship with all the lads.
Trouble is a fair proportion of the six fingered , wife beating whippet botherers support their team, Still some nice words and hope we can open up the side stand to accommodate em, its all money inter coffers innit..
Unpopular view in some quarters, but always prefer to see Yorkshire teams do well. Got friends supporting all the Yorkshire teams and they're always keen on Barnsley doing well. Don't waste time with the tossers, but the friendly banter is cool.
That's very gracious of them, I wouldn't blame them for feeling bitter. Much prefer them to the red and white lot.
credit where credits due, some excellent comments from owls supporters there. This for me is what football rivalry should be about,a bit of pillock and banter that hurts no one. Will be great to be playing them again next season, same goes for huddersfield, leeds and rotherham,a proper mini yorkshire league.
