I'd be making keeping Isgrove our priority over Hammill. I wouldnt mind us getting either Wylde from Plymouth or O Dowda from Oxford if Hammill didnt stay.

Isgrove is good, really good, but Hammill has the necessary experience we will need at the next level .

He showed this yesterday how he can slow the game and control the moment. His skills are just phenomenal if the moment is right.

We need them both to stay to be what we need to be.

To be honest and I can't think of a better explanation but since he came back to Oakwell he's been a revelation -with the thought in everyone's head that maybe just maybe he'll do something spectacular and make us all proud to be reds !!!

Isgrove is only going to improve though and will have potential huge resale value too.

By Hammills skills do you mean tricks? Because they annoy the **** out of me, they arent tricks to beat players he just seems to do them infront of the player and slows out attacks down. Frustrates the life out of me.

Adam Hammill has given 100% in every single game since he re signed for us.

He has given the impetus for every single player to perform the way they have since christmas.

He needs to be top earner,

Brentford have way more potential than us. They were in the play-offs last season and the this season they just missed out!

Brentford are essentially a League One club with a bit of money behind them but seemingly not enough to really have a go to get promoted. Clubs like that dwindle out and back to where the came from within a few years, he'd be barmy to go there in my opinion.

You don't get championship first team players for £2k per week.

I don't believe a word of the rest of that either. Just hearing Hekcy talk about him you can tell how much the club value him.

Funny how people call you a bullshitter despite not having a clue themselves what the situation is.

Not doubting what you say RAC....but whoever thinks he's only good 1 in 5 ought to pick a different career path.
The ' Your defence is terrified ' song about Winnall applies fourfold to Hammill...he takes 2-3 defenders out of the game every time he touches the ball ...that happens throughout every game , not 1 in 5 , opposition players recognise the danger he presents , that's the reason why he gets special treatment ,and whilst I would agree he could be more effective sometimes just moving it on , he's also big game player as proved in our two Wembley visits.
I would doubt we could find a proven player as good as Hammill anywhere...never mind one willing to sign for us, and if it is 8k...I feel even more certain we couldn't find one for less money.

Is this a wind-up? They've had a great couple of seasons, but "way more potential than us?" . We are arguably at least as big a club as Swansea and Burnley, and far bigger than Bournemouth. That's how much potential we've got.

If any of that is true, I truly despair.

I presume in this analysis they allow for the psychological factor of AH - having a player like him, even if he is sometimes not as effective as he could be gives other players belief.
