He came across like a decent bloke in interviews

But let's be right, he's anything but that.

He walked out on Patrick Cryne despite PC sticking by him when not many, if any, would.
If reports are correct he has approached Mawson, Wright, Hammill and Brownhill in recent weeks, knowing full well that this could disrupt our promotion run in. Presumably Isgrove too.
All this when Patrick invited him to Wembley as his guest of honour for the JPT.

Not very honourably really is it, Lee.

I understand he will want to do the best for his current club but you would have thought he would have a little humility not to be tapping up our players when we stuck by him. Or maybe not.

    Bomb Alley.

Harboured no ill will when he left. Possibly cos I still hadn't made my mind up about him as a manager, but now there's no club I hope fails as much as the one he manages.

He can piss off and go sign Connor Wilkinson instead. To be fair when he 1st came here we were linked with a load of oldham players and signed none hopefully just lazy journalism.

Its all rumours that he's in for all these players based solely on him being an ex manager but lets be right, I don't think Hammell was his signing more PC giving lad a second chance something which he's grabbed with both hands and didn't Isgrove say in an interview recently he'd talked to Hammell a lot about mistakes he's made, the biggest probably going to Wolves for the money, so cant see him making same mistake twice. On Brownhill didn't Johnson admit at the time he was chasing Kilkenny but he didn't fancy move but was offered this kid called Brownhill who he knew nothing about but Ben convinced him to take the lad, hardy a glowing reference for for you to make probably the most important move of his career he'd probably be better staying at Preston where incidentally he's just signed a new long contract, Mawsons a different story though he's a class act and yes Johnsons going to be interest but so will quite a few if not all the other championship clubs

The journo on Twitter is very reliable.

    Brownhill joining Bristol tomorrow

He's approached Hammill. Sounds like they've offered him loads of cash.

One of many clubs to enquiry about Mawson

Close to a deal for Tommy Wright, I suspect he couldn't approach him for 6 months due to restrictions in his contract after he left and now he's tapping him up.

Brownhill has never been our player.

If Hammill wants more cash that would be disapointing but his choice and some might say our mistake for not signing him up longer from the start.

An enquiry for Mawson is about as far as we'd get if we rang up Barcelona enquiring about Messi.

Wright isn't he out of contract to be free to do what he wants?

Nobody on here complained when Hill was signing up lots of his former players, so we can't really complain if it happens against us.

Spot on. Everything he has done regarding us since he left has been unnecessary and self serving. Would make me very happy if he was sacked by xmas.

Lee Johnson I have blocked out the dire product we displayed under his guidance. Glad he's gone. But yes you would hope for some honour give the way that Mr Cryne and the board stuck by him. Still never came across as particularly honourable so I guess it is what it is.

If he wants lots of cash I would have thought he could get it somewhere better than Bristol City. Very strange move for him if he does go.

I don't like the guy either but what I don't understand is why, if he's such a dick and mentalist coach, would the players now go and join him ?

    Well that's our second goal for next season sorted;

    1. Stay up
    2. Finish above Bristol City

If Hammill fails at Bristol, it could be hard to see where he'll be afterwards. He'll always have a future here.

I doubt any of our players will choose him over us. What we have achieved and what we could achieve will put us in a strong position.

I'm not alone in thinking that he won't see the season out at Bristol City.

Lee Johnson is a poor football manager.

If we hadn't gone up then some players may have moved on. Our promotion has change the scenario somewhat. Johnson is an arrogant man and a poor manager who thinks he can walk in to the club and take who he wants. Johnson can't offer higher league football and a team with a winning mentality or the team spirit our dressing room has. I'm sure we could match any salary Bristol could offer Hammell and could they afford Mawson and Winnall?

I like Brownhill a lot but he is not irreplaceable.
I think Hammill now knows where is best for him and his family and I think we will meet his financial requirements.
Tommy Wright is not the difference between success and failure, there are loads of good coaches around e.g. Nicky Eadon.
There is no chance we will sell Mawson unless someone offers ridiculous money. He still has 2 years on his contract.

As far as Lee Johnson is concerned, I don't think he will last the season and I really hope we give his team 2 good hidings.

On the other hand, I've heard we're interested in Aden Flint.
