I'd imagine he's some way down the line especially with Rashford doing so well. What do we think he's worth?

Didn't he say late in this season that if we were to go up he'd want to be here again next season? Like others have said he's down the pecking order and Mourinho doesn't exactly bring through youth does he?

I'd expect him here but then in my mind I also expected Brownhill, and even though nothing is confirmed yet, that's not looking likely.

Fletcher on a season long loan would be good though!

I'm very confident we'll get him back. Very strong connections with United, he's wanted here and we've developed him massively in such a short space of time. No brainer

My thoughts too. He's not ready for the Premier League, and he's now got a manager that'll probably give him little opportunity. I think he'll be back some time in July.

I really like Fletcher and hope we get him back.......but had he been fit, Watkins would have started ahead of him during the run in and for the play offs. Indeed Watkins looked lively when he came on. Happy days and healthy competition.

Anyone know what the new changes to the loan system are?

No emergency loans as far as I know. Which means only sign during transfer windows.

    I really like the guy

I sat in West Lower vs Fleetwood - pleasantly surprised at the crowd and just a couple of games from a Wembley trip. Fletch was on the bench. Watching him warm up, he looked like a young lad having a knock about with the big Misters. On the bench, he bit his nails for 80 mins, but never took his eyes off the game. Some of 'our' other players it seemed to be just usual bench banter - have a giggle but don't really watch. When LJ told him to get ready, I felt for the lad. Thought he was gonna throw up, or at least collapse to his knees. Minutes later he had scored. He seemed to grow a foot. He'd made the first step on the ladder to a long and successful career.
Since then, he has grown every game and improved 100%. He is comfortable how he plays and how he fits into our system. He comes across as a really nice guy and conducts himself well on and off the field. His goals have been as welcome and essential as his performances. He seems grounded. When he scored in the JPT final I was made up for him. When he scored on Sunday it was just reward for one of the best loans spells of hard work I am likely to see for us.
Will he go all the way? I think so. Will he get a chance at Man U next season? One has to wonder, given the Special One's record at giving youth a chance. Is he ready to try a season in the Champ? I believe he is more than ready. For him to do it with us would be a pleasure and a delight. If he moves elsewhere, I wish him all the best and will watch his career with interest.

Do what's right Ashley, but please, do it with us. :)

Up at Penistone at the Q&A with Hecky and Ben, Hecky said that if you commit to a loan it is for the season but they can only be completed during the transfer windows.
