    Those stats don't do justice to his worth in the team. He offered great support to the right back and was always a willing outlet, putting in a real shift every time he put the shirt on. I'd be delighted if we signed him, but he's given us great value, so can't begrudge him getting himself a better deal elsewhere. I hope we sign a similar style player, with the same work ethic and talent.

    I agree, but in the Championship you want goals and/or assists in that position.

    We're on a limited budget so maybe are prioritising funds for other positions ? Centre forwards, left back centre halves.

    Hence the signing of Yiadom etc to cover right side

    Paraphrasing but Heckys last statement on Isgrove was he's a southampton player and still under contract for another 12 months so ball is in Southamptons court.
    Maybe he didn't realise they only wanted 200k?

    Although to be fair, he's only 23 and has time to develop, but I just wondered if there's better options if we're wanting more end product in that area.

    The £200k is the rumoured compo figure to PNE for Brownhill and the journo is just assuming it's the same number for Isgrove but as you say there's a big difference in that he's under contract to Southampton. He's also been at Saints since he was a nipper and is a full international (albeit Wales!) so I think they're likely to want more.

    I've no idea what Yiaddom (sp?) is like for example. Maybe our staff see him as a better option. Who knows?

    Difficult to say. He's great at getting around the pitch etc. His final ball and decisions around the box definitely need improvement for the championship.

    Great work rate all over the pitch and an impact player who could make the difference in breaking down a stubborn defence. would be one of the first I would be trying to get on a permanent in the close season.
