I'm sure Bristol City can offer more in wages.....didn't they put a £9 million pound bid in for a striker last season?
Bristol City are the next Bolton Wanderers in waiting. Hugely overspent in recent seasons, and no signs of it letting up. I expect a lot of money being thrown around, vast amounts of tinkering and confusion early season, and a new manager there for the following transfer window. He wasn't a popular appointment there either. Maybe his best move is to Leeds before he gets sacked?
Bristol City are owned by one of Britains richest men Stephen Lansdown a self made billionaire.... he also owns Bristol Rugby - he bank rolled the Rugby team for the past 6 seasons, buying international Aviva Premiership Players to play in the Championship- out spending their rivals 100+ times ..... he is a winner in business ........ and suspect he is used to getting what he wants http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Bristo...-billionaire/story-21105973-detail/story.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Lansdown
It's football. We always need a villain. Bristol City, LJ and any players he recruits who are ex of this parish, all fair game next season. Looking forward to it actually.
Simple - he took us through a really bad spell but the club stuck with him and gave him time to turn it round - something few clubs would have done Then he repayed that by leaving the first chance he got He is now compounding that by trying to take our players from us whats not to hate?
Apparently he's from Chesterfield way on and wants to come back up north. Looked good when they went up, not seen anything of him since mind. Think he's very much a Roberts type player. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He left because the job was too big for him. Bristol city are the second biggest football club in a rugby city
I agree. The bloke is a complete and utter disgrace to the profession. It'll be a very quick career, his. After he gets sacked by christmas, he'll knock about the lower leagues for a couple of years before possibly going into motivational speaking or something that will suit the ***** he spouts out on a second by second basis. ^^^^^This^^^^ we should have an app that when anybody types his name a wnaker icon is automatically inserted
I think it's well documented from all sides that said bad spell was not just his fault. When both sides of the club got sorted (after Hammill/Long/White came in) things got better. He then got an offer after getting us to Wembley that got him closer to his family, at a club run by a billionaire that he played 200 games for in the league above. He'd have been mental to turn it down and it's all worked out nice for us both hasn't it?
A search throws up rumours of a £2m bid from West Brom as well as sustained interest from Sunderland. I wouldn't hold your breath.
