No problem?? Then why bother posting? Also in the melee there were a number of stewards in close proximity and I am sure the err " layout" would not be much use in identifying easily individuals at any given moment. I am waiting for someone to call me for describing the old chap with a crutch as 'ageist and anti-disability'. Jeez! What is the world coming to?
I don't find anything offensive or prejudice about your statement, personally. Just it would have been more accurate to identify this fella by his actions. Especially as most of the stewards were black people. But I do know, the lad we're talking about probably wouldn't like the thread title. I'm sure there's no harm meant. Some of us have more experience of mixed working environments and know the form. It's not about PC, it's just good manners and respect.
Good job he wasn't working on the real ale stall, otherwise old Alf Garnett here would have called him the black bar steward, I'm guessing.
Wouldn't it be nice if the club were to invite him as guest of honour to our first home game next season?
I'd be more concerned that he's got the colour of the vest wrong. I'm sure the guy at the top holding everyone back was wearing blue. I can't double check though because the Football League have now had the video removed from YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smTup2I4It4
Being a sentimental old sod, I agree. But I can see BFC and the fella's gaffers finding a professional conflict of interests. Now THAT IS, political correctness gone mad.
It was blue <blockquote class="twitter-video" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Millwall & Wembley don't mix well..<br><br>The bloke in blue would still be rolling now if the steward hadn't stopped him. <a href="https://t.co/2wLyKY9QHR">pic.twitter.com/2wLyKY9QHR</a></p>— HLTCO (@HLTCO) <a href="https://twitter.com/HLTCO/status/737928978753814528">June 1, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
At the risk of sounding sexist, did anyone see the female Millwall fan punching and kicking - about halfway up the block in the video (since removed by the FL)?
The whole point of the original post has been lost in this welter of "holier-than-thou" - ness. Get a grip on your sanctimonious pc claptrap and be thankful to the big lad who helped in trying to keep that brainless bunch of idiots on their side of the fence... well, netting. He deserves a medal, as no doubt do some of the other lads with him who haven't been picked out.
