The guy is a hero. He certainly prevented a much more severe and potentially sinister end to that situation whilst the police took their time to react to a situation most of us could see happening a good hour before it actually did.

I noticed this also and agree one hundred per cent with you. What a hero!! I thought it was Vunipola in disguise - he would certainly get into the England front row for me. A good number of those stewards put their bodies on the line to deter the Millwall fans and some took violence as well, but that steward had the biggest job and did it manfully. Well done, sir!!

Leeds at home. Right up his street !!!
Only joking, he is more than welcome but is maybe the sort of person who'd prefer a quiet life with no publicity.

Don't think we'll ever find out who he is to get our gratitude across to him. Wembley will probably have him in protective custody gagged

My other half works in a HR role and recently rolled out a form of training to evaluate "unconcious bias". We all have them. The point was to highlight what people said, how they expressed themselves and how it may make others feel.

Black is a descriptor and is fine to use. Coloured isn't good, and was commonly associated with quite aggressive use many years ago. After all, isn't "white" a colour? So everyone is "coloured"

So don't be shy describing people as black (unless you add a hostile expletive).

Racism is a prejudice or form of discrimination against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. Thats certainly not the case here where we're all being very thankful that a steward, who just happened to be black, went way and above what he was being paid a near minimum wage to do.

To that man, thank you. From all Barnsley fans.

He wants a medal as big dustbin lid for the bravery he showed in trying to stop those idiots breaking through the line.
    As that scotsman once said,

That's political correctness gone mad! How do you think a black guy would describe one white steward working with 20 black stewards who he wanted to praise ... without the faintest hint of racism? Shouldn't perception take into account a clear statement from Tekkytyke that no offence was intended followed by his call for the man to be recognised for his bravery? I totally get what he's saying and good on him for making the post.

Jesus is this the most PC football message board in the country or what?

Laughing at you all tying yourselves in knots.

Why not just say the Ade Akinfenwa lookalike at the top?

I'm pretty un PC at times. My only rule is don't say anything you wouldn't say to someone's face. If you are doing that then can't see much wrong. If the person takes offence you can either explain yourself or amend your language if you feel you have caused genuine not 'mock' offence.

I'm at a loss to know who decided 'coloured' was offensive...in the 80s a girl I used to know of Jamaican descent always used the term when talking about herself or other family members.

I once had a West Indian gent make comment when I replied that I had a Black Labrador, If I`d had a Setter I`d have said Red Setter that wouldn`t have upset my Red Indian Apache mate.

It just is. You're coloured. You're white. It's a colour. I don't think the white majority can get on its moral high horse. I'm sure if you knew a phrase or word offended someone who you had no grudge with, you wouldn't continue to use it, would you?

i watched the video and hats off to the fella!

what amused me about the load of millwall( if amused is the right word) was if they wanted to really get past him they probably could have, they all spent ages posturing, waving arms and then pushing when even a tiny bit of actual effort would have seen them shove past. shows them up for what they are, cowards, bullies and braindead idiots.
