All this vitriol is mental. We signed him from nowhere, when people were stressing about Pearson going the other way. He's been a huge part of a squad that's got us promoted, and above everything else he's not our player. Can't believe some of the grief he's getting. I wish him nothing but the best Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thought Pearson was hamstrung by LJ,, but agree Brownhill was far more mature than Pearson. One other thing Brownhill being allowed further upfield had more chance of shooting something he did well, wheras Pearson I rated in the Jim O`Brien school of shooting.
Same here, he isn't our player and owes us nowt , good luck josh lad and thanks for everything, sithi.
Not sure he knows what he's letting himself in for - he only played for LJ for just over a fortnight! Good luck to him personally, he did well for us. I do think he'll find it hard to match the effectiveness of his partnership with Hourihane though, whereas it shouldn't be too difficult for us to find another Brownhill.
Absolutely class for us, really enjoyed watching him and what he added to our side. No complaints from me. But if it's alright with some on here, I won't be wishing him luck at Bristol City. I support Barnsley FC.
did we put in a bid at all for him? because he wasnt our player and bristol have to pay compensation for him
Integral part of our second half of season. Take any of those players out and we could still be league one.One of our best loaners in recent memory. I'm going to miss the scrawny bog brush. Good luck Josh.
I feel like doing some kind of fundraiser or something to thank Bristol City. Took LJ and actually paid us for the privilege and now Brownhill. What sportsmen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He'd agreed to go to Bristol 2 months ago. Great player and much understated by some. good luck to the lad he's done alright by us.
indeed so, brownhill is young enough to not know he's better off at barnsley, Hammill has made the mistake of leaving once, he might not do it twice!
Played for us with more loyalty than alot of our actual own players have shown over the years. Part of one of our best periods in our whole history. Scored some great goals. Shame he's gone to play for him, but we don't know if we offered him anything and even if we did he'd have been way down the list of priorities.
Good player, etc... HOWEVER if he comes back in Bristolian attire at a match, I'd sing to the "Frozen" theme: "Let him Go, Can't live the dream anymore, Let him go, he'll never turn out to be anything".
I'm proper gutted. I really rate the lad. I don't see what some on here do when they've said he's easily replaceable. I know he was only on loan but he felt like one of our own & was a key part of the team. Because of Johnson been at Bristol City it feels as bad as it does when your best players leave you for Sheff Utd (Howard & Bogdanovic)
