Sunderland was home in really high winds when the East Stand started moving.

Cant remember the year, but we were away at Cambridge...Barnsley playing right to left, saw.....Glavin collecting the ball in our own half , his run from centre field beating 3 or 4 player on the way as he danced through the mid field with ease, he crossed the half way line and kept going.. followed closely with our own banger banks to his left. Glavin now heading at a 45° towards the left hand side corner flag trapped the ball dead some how but yet continued his run taking the defence with him. Banger cut in from the cross angle and hit a sweet 25/30 yarder into the top right of goal....perfection.

Best goal ive ever seen from a Barnsley team ......

Another Aylott goal from that seasons cup run, against Brighton when he chipped the goalie from about 40 yards from out on the wide right touchline.

Im not sure but i think there was only one bus from the supporters club went down, i was on the tracky at the time and 4 of us went in the car in tracky uniform, as was the norm for us.
We turned up at the turnstile showed our drivers badges said weve brought a bus and got in for nothing which happened at most grounds in those days....lol the guy on the turnstile must have wondered where all the missing fans were that night...lol 5 drivers in a crowd of just over 50 barnsley supporters.

We once went to northampton one night 4 of us from the tracky, all in uniform only this time there were only 3 of us, who were drivers, ( red badges ) and the other lad was a clippy ( clippys had green badges )....anyway same trick....weve fetched a bus....guy on turnstile bit of a eagle eye, spots the green badge and says hang on whys he got a green badge and yours are red....guick as a flash my mate says ....its cos he drives different coloured buses to us 3.....lol......in you go boys...lol

One year we went to wolverhampton to watch the reds ....once again 4 of us in uniform .....in the car....hoggy from hoggies travel fame lol and JH were the drivers of the official supporters bus ( both tracky lads at the time ) Any way it was a bit of a tasty affair and trouble was springing up all over the place....so i says to this constable, s'cuse me mate is there a turnstile were the drivers can get in for nothing....aye lad follow me, so the four of us follow the constable down the car park whereby we join a column of police officers who stick the four of us between them and then march all the way down to the ground....we enter the ground through a door in the metal gates and find ourselfs in a corner enclosure surrounded with police officers seperating the two sets of fans....the match kicks off and who do we spot but hoggy and JH in the next pen with the barnsley lads laughing there heads of at us....they didnt laugh the following day when they found out wed once again got in for nothing and theyd had to pay...lol

There wern't enough for a bus from supporters club, I had turned up to club expecting to go on bus but it had been cancelled due to lack of numbers luckily there was a lad i knew also in same situation who had a mate with a car so 4 of us ended up going in a car, with 2 lads i had never met before!!
