With my blogging. I've tried to explain myself. http://youbeautifulreds.blogspot.co.uk/2016/06/dear-bristol-city-supporters.html
http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/177419-rant-barnsley-style/ Bristol thread in question... They really believe the mythos that they are a big club don't they. Very weird. Then again people I've met from Bristol have always seemed extremely delusional about it being a nice place (It REALLY isn't) so they clearly have some serious issues with facing up to reality. Pity 'em really.
Beautifully put together and inescapable in its logic Whitey. Unfortunately mate, a fair percentage of City fans, just the same as at any other club will digest your reason, consider your facts....and call you a w****r based on the fact that they can't countenance reasonable debate. You got me convinced though.
Look it's time to let it go pal, he didn't buy you a drink then and there isn't much chance of him buying you one now, just be pleased in the knowledge it was actually my money...just let it go,
I fail to see what couldn't caused that reaction tbh pal, I can only assume all that sister fiddling and cider supping has caused some serious mental issues. Like you said mate, the wheel keeps turning and by next week I assume we will be giving it 'the bristol' when we sign moncur and Colchester fans are up in arms about it.
Good stuff, but I don't know why you bother. I try out rivals' forums too ahead of big games and there's always a few who just resort to '**** off' when their peanut brains can't compute that you're actually there for a bit of a chat and a laugh. The Millwall forum, unsurprisingly, turned out to be the apogee of this particularly braindead pastime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've a mate who used to play for them. He also thinks they're a decent club with good fans and good ambitions. Oh and pay twice as much as some other clubs. No wonder players go there
I don't bother, not anymore, not usually. I only post on here, Owlstalk and Rochdale's board. And it's rare on those two forums these days if I'm honest. Mainly a reader of Owlstalk. It has so many sections with so much to go at (films, technology, music, all sorts really) and is always incredibly busy. I'm still signed up to loads of Championship forums though. Just don't use em. I went on Bristol's when LJ left us, and gave a balanced/fair review of his time with us. Just as I did the other week when Brownhill etc were first rumoured to be going there. Well mannered, but made the points I wanted to. However, you just end up with a handful of quality, interesting responses, ruined by a good number of ********, stereotypical Yorkshire insults, etc etc. I didn't bother looking again, until a mate told me they'd picked up on my blog post last night. So I had a look. That, and the proper ***** I had sent to me on twitter, I felt deserved a bitch slap in response. I'll now go back to Owlstalk and their porn section.
The facts here are Bristol is a rugby town Rovers are the bigger of the two clubs demonstrated by the number if supporters they have brought to Oakwell in the past
Wouldn't give a toss what they think. It's only the fact the only thing that makes them bigger is that they are willing to pay more for average players. Entitlement.
fux me Whitey Really don't wanna blow smoke up yer arse but you've done it again. That's gorrer a giftvlad
......not finished...mistakenly pressed "post" premature ejaculative. As I was saying the gift thas got is a lovely gift. I am not a sycophant. If you've been monied or trolled or whatever the **** they call it then that is a response which is totally befitting and well placed + it needed to be said. In a civilised way. Great retort. Am tellin thi........tha needs to be thinking about writing full time. One of my great memories of this wonderful half season = your contribution to this,at times, very challenging forum. C'mon Whiteski!!!!!!!
Now you know why I am sometimes totally bemused by the reaction that I sometimes get on the BBS when I produce a long and hopefully well thought out post. I thought that your original post was balanced and reasonable, and that your second post explained away any doubts that remained. Both were very well written. At this point in an answer to one of my posts, there is usually a but, and someone will explain to me exactly what I am doing wrong, and what I need to do to put it right. It usually involves me being more like them. Your post is fine. Forget it and move on.
