    Not counting that little tournament going on in Europe. Pretty ambivalent towards that.

    The REAL football has finished now for a couple of months so it's on to alternative choices.

    For me today? Hopping on a train at Harrogate for the quick trip to York. Going to see two magnificent steam locos powering into York station. Tornado first, then the Flying Scotsman.

    Yorkshire v Derbyshire next Sunday in the One Day Cup at Queen's Park, Chesterfield. Always a pleasant place to watch cricket if the weather's good. I'm looking forward to being at a sporting event and genuinely being able to relax with a few beers. Very different to the madness of the last few months!

    treated myself to twelve different beers from Morrisons, 4 for £6.
    Had to sit outside on the lawn (having mowed it first) and drink a couple in the lovely sunshine. Who needs football !
