I was in an aptly named pub called the Coal Hole on the Strand in London, shaking with nerves about tomorrow's match. A Fowls fan walked in with head bowed, after their defeat to Hull. I thought "That could be me tomorrow".

What were you lot doing a week ago today?

    A week ago today ?

had me checked in to a fantastic caravan park in Surrey... had a great night with a fab walk with my wife and our two Cairn Terriers. We had a couple? of glasses of wine too ( sod you Doctor) . Next day I braved the M25 and went to Wembley , my wife was more than happy to walk the dogs on the downs and read her beloved books in between... I had never been more confident of a positive outcome for our team in ages.. however I did think it would be a hard won affair. It was a totally great day also because of the company I was in.... Kev 'JLWBL' and Ian 'Barnsley66' two totally brilliant people. It turned out that there really was only one team there on the day, we were the better side, we were the better footballing side, we were the side that wanted it more. Granted we had a few scares , BUT we deserved it totally.

I was watching the Champions' League Final and thinking at the start "I suppose Cristiano Ronaldo is the Adam Hammill of Real Madrid". By the end of the match, I was thinking "Nah! Adam's far better than that!!":D:D

After the second half of the season we had, culminating in thrashing Walsall 6-1, I should have been confident, but when I saw the expression on the face of that Wednesday fan I was, like most of our opposing defences, terrified.

Mind you, I only managed to relax in the Walsall game when the aggregate score got to 5 - 0. Before that I was petrified we might do an Ipswich.

I watched both mate. The only worry whilst watching the Wednesday game was that they didn't turn up... what if we didn't ? Next day the question was answered at about 3.03pm !

Unbelievable, so, so much better than 10 years previous. That was to some extent an unexpected slightly fortunate result. There was nothing unexpected this time and the only fortunate element was for Millwall and how they escaped without being beaten by 6 or 7. So proud that day, proper club, owner, players and most important proper fans.

I was also in an aptly named pub called the Coal Hole on the Strand in London, shaking with nerves about tomorrow's match. Trying to comfort aforementioned Fowls fan whilst discreetly trying to swap my daughter's losers shirt for a Red one.

I wasn't sure whether I should mention that the Fowls fan was actually your husband, but anyway I have now. Hope he's recovered, but I hope we inflict more misery on him when we play then next season.

Your daughter couldn't get out of her blue and white shirt quick enough hee hee!

In Bradford, watching Billy Elliott at the theatre. Got home, straight to bed for 5 hours sleep, then up for the drive to London. Was completely done in on Sunday night (thank god it was a bank holiday) but well worth it. Brilliant weekend!!

It's about time we had a victory at Hillsborough I could discreetly gloat over.

Not sure he enjoyed driving us home on Sunday night. I guess there's only so much "Winnall's on Fire" and "We are Going Up" you can stand.

What torture! How cruel! I'm almost beginning to feel sorry for him. Almost. Well, a bit. A tiny bit.

It was brilliant. I love a good night at the theatre anyway, but this was a superb show. The dance that Billy did with little Michael, both in their frocks, was just awesome. So talented.

Was at a grandparent's 70th birthday party just outside of Hull. Set off for Barnsley at 10.30 ready for an early morning set off.
