Just been listening to George Foreman talking about the Rumble In The Jungle. To paraphrase:- "I hit him with everything I had. Big shots. Heavy shots. I hit him a a hard body shot in the seventh. Ali leaned into me and said 'Is that all you've got, George?' I thought 'Well, yeah it is!' A few seconds later, he knocked me out!"
Up there with Pele, Babe Ruth, Michael Jordan, Peyton Manning, Hulk Hogan, Ronnie O Sullivan and Phil Taylor in that even if you aren't a fan of the sport you have probably at least heard of that name.
I think Pele is a very close second in terms of great, iconic sportsmen. Ali was the greatest though.
