Taken from Martin Lewis guide suppose to be impartial not propaganda. http://blog.moneysavingexpert.com/2016/06/05/how-to-vote-in-the-eu-referendum/
It's TT at the minute on the IOM with the influx of visitors it makes for a wide range of views and I can't remember 1 person who wants to stay in . When I go to America I fill in a couple of forms no hardship. Culture pah ballax . We've got a culture . Stronger out
One reason is, is that others differ..we once accepted that the world was flat because experts said so. Where were today's experts when we had the banking crash?...surely their infinite wisdom could have save the world then . As for the politicians... The ones in the House of Commons need a great deal of courage to come out against the party line...certainly the careerists wil not want to risk deselection and the loss of an influential , personally gratifying and well paid job...not all are there to 'make a difference'. As you point out Gove et al are awful...but no more awful than Cameron or Osborne , the architects of austerity...but the real clincher for me is Tony Blair..this man will probably go down as the most reviled PM in our history...he was responsible for the worst lies about Iraq and it's non existent Weapons of Mass destruction..he took us to War to support Bush , that ultimately has cost the lives of millions...can you really trust him.
I work in the NHS, the VAST majority of the NHS workforce want to leave Because of the strain on the service and the burden on social care packages. Our view is , rather than have Visa free holidays and the ability for the few youngsters who can afford european travel and reduced phone roaming... the nhs staff would rather think of long term health and not short term gain
You do realise that the condition of both these countries and Switzerland having the free trade agreement is they must also implement into their own law all EU directives applicable to the free movement of goods persons and capital or if you dont understand that in plain english they must allow immigration from the EU in exactly the same way as we do Anyone who thinks that we can stop immigration, ignore EU directives and still have a free trade system is completely wrong. Thats not scaremongering its a fact! The price of controlling our own borders and scrapping EU working directives is losing the special trade deals we have, almost certainly multinationals will export jobs into the EU - and downsize or shut down the UK operations it really is that simple
Yep the TT has been goin for over 100 years before any of the ***** you are insinuating, mostly English , Irish, Scotish but certainly some German , Italian etc we have a work permit system over here in place so you can't just come here and work. It's own government ( Tynwald) but if needs be the head of state makes the final descision , the Queen
Everyone conviently ignores that bit or tries to pass it off as something we can just choose not to accept. Look at Norway for example, they still have to pay money to the EU and accept the free movement of European labour but don't get a vote in any decision making.
Based on what? Genuinely curious. He could easily have come back from his negotiations with Europe and said he couldnt get good enough concessions so he is supporting the out camp but if the vote is for out his position as PM becomes almost untenable, he will have to step down and let a brexiter take over. Likely to be Boris Now whether he is for Europe because he thought thats the side that would win is a completely different question of course but now I doubt he wants to be on the losing side I wonder if Cameron had been for exit whether Boris would now be campaigning for remain
Currently voting in. I can't bring myself to side with the wolf in buffoons clothing, Boris ****-Knuckle or with that Uber-lovely person Gove. Remember when we were the 'Dirty Man of Europe'? Well we'll be that again quick sharp if these bar stewards have their ways. It'll be bye-bye to any environmental protection we have, bye bye to employment protection and hello to zero hours contracts galore. Remember, it'll be easier for Murdoch and his dirty lying ilk to control 1 government than it will be to control 28. If anyone thinks that these so called savings we'll make by leaving (which will be A LOT less than the outers are making out) will be passed on to you or I, or indeed put into the NHS are having a laugh. No, The EU isn't perfect, but my FSM, imagine a country run by the Tories without Europe to reign them in. Bye bye rights, hello tugging your forelock and thanking your betters for your terrible, poorly paid job. As for all this Shengen talk I've heard so much about on Arsebook, ettc - WE AREN'T EVEN IN IT!!!
We can choose not to accept it. The Norwegian people have rejected EU membership twice so the consequences cannot be that terrifying...also The EEA the Norwegian Govt of the day signed up to was never put to the people..it raises suspicions that The People would have rejected that too.
It amazes me how many people dont get that - They give Norway (and Switzerland and Iceland) of examples without understanding they have in reality no more sovereignty that we have - in some ways its less We can come out and gain control of immigration ( though when its a net benefit to the UK no matter how you do the maths) but we cant do that and keep the current trade deals - its just not an option. No one knows what deals we can do but unless we accept the EU still controls our movement of people working conditions and capital rules we cant keep the current ones This in another thread from ark104 explains it quite well http://bbs.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showth...ells-one-for-discussion&p=1848706#post1848706
But would we choose that? Would it even make sense to choose that? Think about why Norway chose to accept the immigration rules despite leaving - they wanted the trade deals which I suspect we would want too. We can't have one without the other.
But I will keep repeating this as many people dont understand - Norway has to allow unrestricted EU immegration, it has to enact all EU directives relating to Work or finance, so if your reason for leaving the EU is tied to immegration or business regulation - YOU CANNOT HAVE A DEAL LIKE NORWAY. you have to accept that without the EU trade deal its certain in the short term our trade will be hit and there will be job losses - thats inevitable. Whether longer term we can bounce back stronger is a different debate but not one most are considering -
If Cameron can do a deal within the EU that has special privileges that no other country yet has then I believe we can trade within it. I've said it before and will again. The EU relies on us and Germany more than any other country. Without us they will collapse imo. Can you imagine America being part of such organisation? And they have the cheek to give a opinion that we should start in. It's a great debate and gonna be close but from swaying fro opinion polls winning for remain to now in favour of leave shows that the country is well and truly split.
