http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/everton-refuse-john-stones-transfer-8135278 apologies if it's been posted elsewhere. couldn't see it over the last day or so..
Paper speculation, nowt 'else. If he wants to go, he'll go. Clubs never keep players against their wishes - Stones could just sit on the bench with a titty-lip on and watch his value plummet. Everton won't want that. He might go, he might not, but I suspect the Mirror know as much about it as you or I.
he could have done that last time, to be fair. i don't think it's in john stones' nature or his interest, to start playing that game.
Perhaps Koeman can persuade him that his future lies at Goodison Park. Hope not, but it could happen.
If Barcelona want him... Barcelona will get him they have no probs with stupid money bids... and TBH if the bid gets above the £50 Mill mark then Everton will crumple like a Burtons suit and grab hold. Then we will find out about the much debated sell on clauses we have or maybe do not have...
I believe he's received plenty of grief from Everton fans, so that could be a factor, particularly as he is apparrently quite active in the Community projects at the club.
the England Wales game could be a big selling night for Stones supposing he totally makes Bale look like an amateur... then he will definitely be sold at a HUGE price... but beyond that if he has a good tournament then he will be moving home....... which I really think is what's gonna happen.
i think that could play a much bigger factor. they hounded him last time round and gave him unbelievable grief, even though he stayed. then they turned on him in no time, after he had a few bad games. i doubt he will think he owes the club or the fans a thing
