Season before last was mainly yellow to be fair. About time we had a decent away shirt. I would buy this to be honest
I meant last season and this season coming. It is a nice shirt and I'm not dismissing it just commenting on an unprecedented shirt colour twice on trot bit its all irrelevant as its purple not black anyway .
Got talking to one of relatives of the sponsor after the 2nd leg of the playoffs in the pub. Only thing they told me about our away kit was that it was nice.
They released the away it early last year. Hope it's the same this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Only problem is, it then makes the Open Day utterly pointless unless you're 12 years old and still get excited by meeting footballers.
You can still go and scrabble around for the reduced merchandise. Eventually someone has to take the Ton Kennedy shirt that sits there year after year.
The open day should be about showing off the stadium, the club the player the community spirit. The launch of the away kit should be nothing but a side draw. The problem is that in recent years our open day has become just a trade show for local businesses to advertise their wares with just a stage that has a pre arranged number of interviews one after the other. There is nothing fun about it and there should be. Get Barnsley college to bring in some drama students who will out on a show. Jugglers and the like. Get a proper fair there. Players taking on supporters in fun challenges. Open the entire stadium. Show off stadium improvements (that needn't cost a fortune) OPEN the club to as many people as possible or rename it 'away shirt launch event'if that's all it is
