Whether we as the UK vote to leave or remain, there will be no noticeable affect on Barnsley FC.

So please take your political arguments elsewhere and leave this as a BFC forum.

It's close season mate - there's not much going on!

To be fair, I'd rather people posted European claptrap, than the claptrap rumours by Alan Nixon.

Today's the first time I've replied to a comment about the referendum.

But to suggest that people shouldn't talk about the most important vote majority of us will face in our lifetime because this is a football forum? Bit odd. Thought this was a place welcome for its diverse range of topics, differing opinion and freedom to debate any given subject.

How many topics are there to discuss about Barnsley in the close season? Be a very boring board if we just repost Alan Nixons latest guess, or wait for Newsbot to tell us what the next friendly is

If we vote out flights will be far more expensive and exchange rate a lot less advantageous......when we are playing in the Champions League

If there is nothing to say about BFC, then say nothing; simple. If you want to vent your views on other issues, then go to a relevant website; again, simple.

I fully respect the right of people to discuss whatever they wish, I'd just like them to do so in an appropriate place; this will enable me to view BFC related posts without having to trawl through endless irrelevant posts.

Just a suggestion, but maybe have a look at the subject heading?

No. This is, and has always been, a forum where any subject can take flight. We'll keep it just as it is, but thanks for your interest.

'Fcking nut jobs'. Is this a technical term?

Why not look at the Bulletin board heading? - Barnsley FC.

Any viewpoint is valid, obviously, but for someone with just 375 posts to their name, I'm not sure you're in any sort of position to lecture us on the history and purpose of this BBS, thanks.

I am not lecturing, merely expressing an opinion; in my view this is a basic right of anyone who signs up to this forum; the number of posts they have made should be, and is, in my opinion, totally irrelevant.

You are entitled to your opinion. But if you're the sole voice amongst many you either need to change a lot of minds or perhaps think to yourself whether your opinion is correct. And it's odd you suggest your entitled to an opinion when you're initial post is asking others not to share their opinion on this board as it doesn't meet with your approval

    It will affect Barnsley FC.

How will we sign the next Dominic Werling when he can't freely pass through the borders without a work permit? Or maybe it will stop us signing the next Dominic Werling!

Of course it's irrelevant, hence my 'any viewpoint is valid' line, but surely you can see that telling us what should or shouldn't be discussed on this forum, after many, many years of it being a thriving, open forum for pretty much any subject, is a little galling.

But we can sleep easy knowing that Peru is outside the EU so we shouldn't have any concerns signing the next Miguel Mostto

I'm not telling people, merely making a suggestion based on my humble opinion. And if the number of posts is irrelevant, why highlight it?

Anyway, I have made my point and I will not be commenting further; I look forward to some new BFC-related posts. :D
