How will we set up for next season?
I confess I don't know enough about him to know his best position. Is he a direct replacement for Brownhill? Will he play more of a number 10 role, meaning Scowen comes back into midfield? If the plan is for him to replace Brownhill and stick with the same formation then I'd worry about what protection our back 4 would get against much better opposition. And Scowen back to the bench? He or his Dad won't like that.

He will play in central midfield I think, we moulded Brownhill into that from a number 10 so I reckon we'll do the same with Moncur.

He's a striker that can play in midfield but according to Colchester fans doesn't excel there at all and really struggles.

I think he'll be added to our forward options and allow us to go 4-5-1 when needed away from home by playing as a Number 10. He won't be the Brownhill replacement as he has far too much trickery and is too much of a goal threat.

makes sense. If the Bradshaw interest is to be believed then him as a lone striker in a 4-5-1 with Moncur just behind and Hourihane and Scowen deep. That looks good on paper to me. I've got reservations on Winnall's ability to step up in the championship but lets wait and see.

He's an attacking midfielder isn't he? Best played in the hole or just off the front man?

I get the impression he's not happy at Oakwell. Just a hunch. I'd be very disappointed if he did go though. Great player.

There's a serious risk that all the feel good factor around the club could disintegrate. I really hope not
