    Are actually Welsh?

Their ENGLISH captain looked gutted at the end, as did his ENGLISH centre half partner.

Not to mention their ENGLISH centre forward, Hal-Kanu, or the ENGLISHMAN who replaced him, Williams.

They will always be the poor relations compared to England. Which makes it all the more galling that we made such a hard job of beating them.

That's five successive wins against Wales with only that freak free kick goal against us in 5 games. Had Hart been standing in the middle of his goal he would have stopped it.

Give them credit for their spirit, on and off the field, but they shouldn't be able to live with our premier league "stars".

Having said that, I hope Sterling never gets in the team again and, even more than that, I hope this is Hodgson's swansong as manager. He will take the credit for inspired substitutions but he doesn't inspire ME as a manager. Mike Bassett, without the comedy.

9 of the 20 outfield players in their squad were born in England.

Wow that's a tad harsh. He doesn't warrant a game against Slovakia, I fully agree, but he's a kid with loads of time to develop. He could still become a very good player in the years to come. Unless you meant just in this tournament.

Harsh, on £100k a week Sterling?

    Oh aye.

I tell you what, Barnsley would have beaten Wales.

And still as a full squad, been on less than Sterling's salary. And there you have everything wrong with football. Some agent has managed to over-inflate Sterling's worth to a degree that Hodgson thinks he's actually good. He is CRAP. I have seen many players better.

Says it all last night when Bilic, says "he's been told" that West Ham have signed a player. Agents are running football and picking teams . Sterling should be nowhere near the national squad.

I don't see what people see in Sterling, he is crap. However so is Gareth Bale's football knowledge as he reckons man for man Wales are better than England.

it just shows what a joke the current so called '2nd generation' rule is in international football. no player should be allowed to choose his country, but when you can choose because of your parents or even grand-parents, well that is pathetic.

He didn't run past a man once, did he?

    He didn't threaten their goal.

He didn't make a telling cross into the box.

He's a winger......actually, he's a nothing footballer. What on earth do some people see in him? I agree, he's young. He could be finished at 24 though the way he is going.

Wales were poor and got exactly what their approach to the game, especially the second half, deserved. Negative football deserves negative results.

I think he's a poor footballer who built a reputation playing in a Liverpool side that were essentially a one man team.

Ok I follow you now. I didn't know that. Even more reason for him not to be playing for England then.

That's rich, coming from you :)

I don't take kindly to be called a moron by anyone, especially by someone I don't know. Try thinking before you speak in future.

PS Please don't try to educate me about the nationality status of children born in overseas military hospitals. I used to live near Wegberg (her place of birth presumably?)

Don't rate him. Epitome of the modern day footballer; decent season, big money move then plateau at a bigger club watching others nail down a place ahead of him.

That said, sure he's a big fan of my work!
