We have a home friendly game on the 23rd/24th July.Will it be a premiership team or maybe another overseas opponent?
Royal Antwerp would be a fantastic fixture. There's already a strong bond between the fans and the clubs could build a good relationship for loaning players.

A bunch of their fans come and watch up a few games a season and ours go over to Belgium. They're a great bunch and it would be good to have a friendly with them.

I didn't know about that. Antwerp is a lovely city so I can see the attraction of going over there now and then.
Don't wish to sound antagonistic but I'd hardly call that a strong bond. Regarding the pre-season friendly the team they pick as to fit within the pre-season plan and not just be any old side.
Up to 30 at a time (although normally about half a dozen or so) have been known to travel to Barnsley matches home and away, probably about a dozen games a season and have made hundreds of friends amongst the Barnsley fans. The often travel with the Courthouse Reds. A lesser amount of Barnsley fans go there at least a couple of times a season and have made many friends with their fans. If that's not a bond with opposition fans I don't know what is.
Apparently the Wendies are playing Benfica on the 20th of July. Don't we have a link with Benfica of some sort? One that resulted in us signing Pedro in the academy? Putting 2 and 2 together, could be them.
