    I was always under the impression it was a festival, is it just bands playing in a few different bars around the town centre?

    It's described as an urban festival. 14 bars with live music all day in the 14 bars. There's a fixed time slot for each band, so you can plan your listening based on your taste. Think Tramlines without a main stage.
