Although we haven't got the wingers in France that I would have liked - To inject a bit of pace and inventiveness into the team then this is the team I'd choose Forster Walker - Cahill - Smalling - Rose Dier Alli - Berkley - Wiltshire - Lallana Vardy
Barnsley is the size of Bella Emberg and the most woefully out of form player Roy has taken. The team that finished last game will start.
Very harsh and not true I don't think. He's a very strong footballer. The strength he had when he played at Oakwell amazed me.
It is harsh on Bella Emberg for sure. Plus, Akinfenwa is strong and amazes me, but I wouldn't play him for us. He's probably foreign anyway.
Why, were top of the group so far? Neither have been great but they are better when teams are coming at England. Two games that didn't happen and it's hard for them.
Because they're both f*cking dreadful footballers. We're only top of the group because Woy took Sterling off and replaced him with a footballer.
swap Kane for Lallana and move Vary in the middle and I would agree. Not sure what Rose has done wrong through. I've always prefered Forster to Hart.
Well if we spread all Wiltshire out in midfield, then that will take a bit of getting through. Sturridge does well receiving it wide and cutting in, rather than standing up front and trying to wrestle with centre halves. I don't mean him going on the outside. He can roam about, especially if he's got Walker with him on that side to do all his dirty work for him.
I would agree with this team apart from Bertrand, why take Rose out he's been brilliant for England, including the friendlies recently! I'd be gutted if Sterling starts.
Rose didn't do much wrong really, just frustrated me at times, galloping forward only to pass backwards. Not much between him and Bertrand to be honest. I've only removed Hart based on the ridiculousness of that goal the other day. No need for a wall that size, absolutely no need to then stand behind that wall, and even then, if you're getting two hands to the shot and letting it in anyway... that's proper ****. I'm not convinced by Smalling. Looks like controlling a football is rocket science to him. I'm also from Barnsley so I've got to pick Stones as I feel he's better than Smalling anyway. Midfield picks itself. Can't believe I'm saying it but Rooney is looking every inch the midfielder I doubted he could be. With Barkley and Wilshere in reserve, it's not bad is it? Kane's not done much in the first two games and so I'm expecting him to be rested, but I'd pick him hoping he scores/finds some form in time for the KO stages. Sturridge just behind the other two might be an idea. In all honesty, I'm not that arsed who gets selected so long as they play more than one player near the opponents box and at a quick tempo.
If Stones goes this season to Man City, I genuinely believe Guardiola will develop him into something special. Ball playing centre back, just like he did at Bayern with Boateng. under the right management Stones will be world class imo
