Looking at the half of draw that we SHOULD be in, that Wales are now in, massive **** up by Woy. Should've played our best side, tells his players to have no regrets? He'll get fired when Portugal play for penos cos they know how to beat us. Missed opportunity, classic England.

As I've just mentioned in another post, I'd have genuinely fancied us to get to the final. The enormity of Woy's complacency is only now becoming apparent. Whereas the idiocy of selecting Wilshere and Henderson was clear to anyone with an IQ over 70 several weeks ago.

Aye. We have 4 tickets for Wales' Quarter Final (if they get there) . Hoping it's Wales v N Ire in the next round so we have a bit of British interest. Just gutting that England didn't get through though.

Itll be a repeat of Uruguay, for Suarez see Ronaldo

Hart looks brittle, hence Bale free kick, if Portugal get one he'll snap in half. Still haven't found an England manager who can prepare and coach a team un tournament stage football.

Left Alli & Walker on the bench....you f.ck.ng idiot Woy.

To be fair, Clyne was excellent so doubt Walker would have changed much.

Could have played Walker on the wing with Clyne behind him. While I think we've played well (and I thought we did in the WC too) Roy just isnt cut out to get the best out of a talented group of attackers. He's a pragmatic coach and it shows.

taking sterling instead of townsend and taking jack 'stumpy' wilshere were also massive mistakes. sooner would have took defo instead of rashford too or even carroll for summat different. cant imagine there would be many centre halfs buzzin when caroll jogged on for last ten minutes

I've always said that there is no other centre forward at the top end of the game anything like Andy Carroll and that the likes of Pique, Ramos, Hummels etc would have no idea how to handle him. He's unplayable when on form and should definitely have gone to give us another option.

Barkley needs to be starting too. Particularly now we're playing the better opposition where we will look to counter at speed. He's one of the best ball carriers in world football.

Barkley should not have gone either....way out of form.
Another 2 years of hurt until the world cup.
We need an Eddie Jones..look what he's done with the same players.
Another tornement another inept excuse for a tournament showing

Had to laugh b4 the tourno started...my father in law fell hook line and sinker for the usual hype that England may just suprise a few people...with the goal power we have etc.
He called me negative for saying we are terrible at tournament football and all the usual traits will prevail.
New year....same old same old mistakes.
Injured and out of form players...inability to move ball quick enough to cause opponents problems etc.
We could field 5 of the best stikers in Europe ....We r not causing other sides enough problems

I don't understand why people think it made a difference him making those changes. For a start, two of the six were up front where it was clearly the right thing to do, and the performance in the third game was precisely identical to the first two - totally dominant in ters of possession but more or less nothing created in the way of proper chances. Changes didn't make a blind bit of difference. Ali has been dog ****, not sure why people think somehow he'd have made loads of chances after doing cack all in the first two games.

I have been supportive of Roy Hodgson as Manager, thinking he was far better than a by England Manager since Robson. However his selection of players for this tournament has left me in doubt. Why take a player with less than a hours play all season? Why take players like Sterling and Henderson who have the press hype but not the product? I'm not one for caring which side of the draw we play, for if we are good enough to win it, we will.

Not necessarily that difficult. We could have Iceland in last 16. In the quarters, whilst we may have France, Wales may have Belgium

But anyway, in the quarter finals of the European championships, no game is going to be easy

I honestly can't see much difference between ours and Wales' paths in the latter stages

Walkers final ball much better, Rose much much better option going forward than Bertrand and Alli nearly scored with his first touch, put Sturridge through for his goal v Wales, dog ****?, hmmmmm, if he'd been on from start could've rested players once we were winning. But ah all opinions though...

And the semi-final in England's half of the draw is back in that nice placid little port where we are so welcome to the local police and public alike, not that we look like getting anywhere near the semis.
