Won't it knock a couple of thousand off the travelling support?

Newcastle would bring 7000k if we played at midnight

Im annoyed as like many fans living away from Tarn a Tuesday night fixture isnt possible without taking time off work

doubly annoyed that Villa and Wolves away are also midweek

    Agreed.

I work a permanent evening shift on a self employed contractor basis so I can't go to night games unless I miss work, and if I do I just don't get paid. None of this fancy paid holiday malarkey...

Aye, l first thought that but I can see them bringing 4-5k whereas a Saturday they'd be asking for the West. Villa definitely won't be bringing 6k.

No, it's bad news. Much smaller away crowds and exiled fans missing the big games. Plus there's due to be several re-arraged weekend fixtures due to internationals, already. For them living away that's a shitter and devalues season tickets.

Add to that fixtures re-arranged due to world cup qualifiers... Not good for exiles... :(

These ARE those fixtures, old mate. That's why there's a greater number of midweek matches when you're in the Championship.

I'm just relieved that there's only one Tuesday night match in winter as I physically can't sit out in the cold for that period of time. So in that respect, I'm very happy with the fixture list.

I'm pretty pleased they aren't on Saturdays as I can get to them whereas if they are on Saturdays the chances are I might not.

Selfish obviously and I feel for those that can't but I knew it was the risk I took when I got my ST.

In fact, I'd be happy to lend my ST to anyone (well...almost anyone) who could get to the match on a Saturday when I couldn't.

Although thinking about it, if this is in fact illegal then I wouldn't (!).

if our fans can't get an atmosphere going against Villa or Newcastle then they might as well give up, regardless of when it's played.

I might upgrade to hospitality for that one. Never been in there and I imagine it's not the same watching from behind the glass but it's got to be better than not being able to go at all.

You might as well give it a go. I don't think it costs too much to upgrade and you might like it more than you think
