I suspect he is making reference to the couple of million mostly single males that stormed europe last year.
Those ones who will become doubly illegal if we leave the EU and will be tried in special double illegal courts with 2 judges?
The debate extends infinitely beyind the issue of just migration for me. I'm tired of hearing migration brought up as the key debating point. There's much much more to this.
Immigrants are net contributors who are proportionately less likely to claim benefits and who are essential to pay taxes to pay the retirement benefits of tekkytyke's generation which is by far the biggest wedge of benefits payments made in an increasingly ageing population.
I just don't get the immigration argument if we are such an attractive country to live in why aren't 510 million EUcitizens living here, why has Germany and France got higher levels of EU migrants . The Australian points system is often sighted by Brexits as a utopia of immigration control , we already have that for non EU migrants but more non EU migrants came to Britain last year than EU migrants . Australia has the highest migrant ratio per population than almost any developed country , 45% of the population has either direct experience of being a migrant or their parents have. Leaving the EU will not stop immigration
47% of total benefits paid go to the state pension. That's why accusing immigrants as 'descending' to put a strain on the country whilst you enjoy your retirement in Italy is a bit rich mate
Also, why don't you admit the real reason you want Brexit is cheap holiday money when you come back to visit
Yes, which is what migrants disproportionately do in comparison to benefits claimed. Of course people deserve to get pensions, and in part they are linked to NI contributions, but the way the country is depicted as straining under immigrants' access is completely misrepresented in comparison to other burdens on the state
Can't remember that. I do remember loads of folk fleeing ISIS controlled Syria though. ISIS controlled because of the actions of western governments. You reap what you sow. The majority of folk entering our country come from nations outside the EU, many of these (Asians) are a positive influence on our economy and health service in particular. Most of the EU folk who enter our country, end up doing the ***** jobs we brits don't want to do. According to what I've read/researched online, like. Could be ********. But so could this idea that two million single men 'stormed' Europe....
Great quote from Alan Johnson quoting an Italian journalist ...' For Britain to stand alone against its enemies in 1940 was heroic, for Britain to choose to stand alone amongst its friends in 2016 is absurd' .... Vote Remain
Unhcr has it at a million. Beeb says 1.8m Depending on the source of and period of the data between 58 and 85% were male. The remainder being a mixture of women and children. Only about half of those were confirmed as syrian. Rest were iraqi. Afghan. North african. East african.
As I've said before, they look identical to all of the other benefits to those of us who are paying for them but probably won't ever get one.
Not quite right though. You can be on benefits all your working life and receive the same pension as someone who has worked for 35 years. I have become painfully aware of this from a personal viewpoint. Also the tax and NI you contribute pays for current pensioners not your own.
And which of those places haven't had the **** bombed out of them by us (or our direct military allies, nothing to do with the EU) in the last 15 years?
As the Italian delegate so eloquently stated . Britain standing alone against Enemies in wartime Europe was Heroic. Britain standing alone among friends in peacetime Europe doesn't make sense.
