He won't unfortunately. The commentators are out blaming the people for being uneducated, mislead etc. Who's fault is that ?

I don't think Farage / Gove expected it either.

Be careful what you wish for - there's worse where he came from.

Aye, we should have an intelligence test to be passed before allowing to vote.

I agree JD , I just don't think Labour realised how strong the anti EU sentiment was among it's core vote.
Had they realised this and Jeremy Corbyn been allowed to follow his lifetime convictions ..from a purely party political point of view it could have been a much better day .

Agree. We've been allowed our little protest, now its damage limitation time. All the moneyed vested interests will be working together to put us back in our boxes and restore the status quo.

I started to worry when half of Facebook were making a big thing out of using pencils to vote. They clearly had never been anywhere near a polling station before.

My wife has worked as a clerk at the same polling station for a few years. She's officiated at Council, general and PCC elections. Typically she sees the same few voters everytime.

Yesterday was like nothing else - the turnout was 3 to 4 times that she normally sees.

Great news for democracy but also the first time that anyone had queried the use of pencils, asked how to vote, or had to have the ballot paper read to them because they were illiterate...
