    I understand the process and I don't disagree with your statements.

    I would however suggest that the politics of personality (and PR) is such that the leader comes to embody that party in such a way that were, say Boris elected as a new leader there would be those that say 'i didn't vote for him' much as there were those that voted for a Cameron led Tory party as opposed to voting for the Tory party.

    My post was semi ironic (that's what they all say) as - unless I'm wrong- a democratic process took place to elect our MEPs and also to elect the President of the EU- for good or for ill.

    Either way, no matter which side 'won', we've all lost as far as I can see. At least for the foreseeable future.

    Not strictly true, but then again cold hard facts haven't bothered the Leave side much during the campaign, so why start now?

    This thread's ******* ****, though. I didn't vote Leave, but I don't feel this thread serves a purpose. Just a collection of posters, fellow men/women, fellow reds at that, all insulting each other.

    Conan's an arse for calling folk racist, for voting Leave. The Leavers saying 'live with it' etc, arses n all.
