    To vote on this referendum.

I watch and post now and then on this forum that I really enjoy most of the time ,but enough is enough.

We voted out 'OUT' .thats it ,done. We all had chance .

Me , I voted out. Why? Because I'm a farmer . The last real primary industry left in this country and something we 'all ' yes all rely on.

The 'city' trade and gamble on my produce daily ,you all eat what I produce daily, yet the average farmer in this country at this moment in time and for the last two decades have been in a boom and bust industry based on a stupid common agricultural policy and corrupt subsidy system that enables the price of your milk and bread to be artificially cheap yet the rest of Europe flourish with less red tape.

CAP payments for European countries in order are France benefits most, with about 17%, followed by Spain 13%, then Germany 12%, and Italy 10.6% compared to the UK at only 7%.

Why do you want to support the average Spanish Olive grower rather than our local ,hard working efficient farmer.

Well I'm fed up , and that's the reason I voted out.Oh and the small problem that we are over run with unnecessary immigration.

Yes there will be an amount of turmoil ahead but it will sort and I believe for the better ,along with over 50% of the population that could be arsed to vote .

We all have our reasons for everything and those reasons should be respected not criticised

Leave has won ,my reasons are here, everyone else will have slightly different ones ,but the majority carried the opinion

Move forward together and create a ' Great Britain'

You have voted for a valid reason, but why should your word be the last one?

It's not and isn't ,all I'm saying is we had a choice ,we can't alter it ,it's done and the majority voted

I'm saying get on with it ..stop blaming who and what's wrong I like debate ,in fact I really like reading most comments on here so please don't get me wrong

    But it's over ,decision made.

That's all I'm saying and with it I tried to give other forum readers my reasons why I voted out

Because its just so funny. Best laugh I have had all day. A farmer voting to leave.
Just brilliant. Who is going to subsidise our super rich grain barons now?
How many UK farms are viable without EU subsidies?
And there are fewer UK farmers than there were miners in a single south Yorkshire village.

To be honest I don't know a great deal about the CAP. Supposedly as a nation we contribute more than we receive but I don't know how that impacts the individual farmer.

There appeared to be no mention of the farming industry employing eastern european migrant workers on cheap wages anywhere...... Who'd have thunk it.

    I beg your pardon!!

    Most farmers voted leave.

An intellectual like you should know why subsidies are in place across the world!!

Oh and to answer your question, our government will help subsidise our industry with the savings made to Brussels to pay the French cheese producers, the Spanish olive growers etc.

We are at an unfair playing field

there's **** all 'Great' about the Britain that has just been created. the 'victory speech' from farage today made me sick to my stomach. donald trump treads on scottish soil and talks about a great victory, in a country that unanimously voted In. johnson, gove and IDS are now apparently the spokesmen for the UK, mutiny is afoot against jeremy corbyn and the far-right begin to march in france and holland. it's a shameful day for me.

Yes of course the UK government will subside you to the same extent as the EU.

Even better than your first line. More likely to be like New Zealand. Lots of farms going out of business. (good) and lots of poor animal welfare (not so good).

You genuinely believe the UK government will have the money to subsidise you. I admire that optimism.

I thought they were spending the £350 million quid a week on the NHS.

Why is it good that farmers going out of business?

Who will look after 'your' countryside as part of his deal for a reasonable deal.

Obviously your an anti-farmer ,did you have tea tonight. Was is grown by ASDA or some spaceman ,Cereal for breakfast? At the moment every arable farmer is losing £15 /ton to produce your cornflakes ,whilst other EU countries benefit from 'your tax ' that we pay to Brussels to unfairly distribute.

As you may or may not know I work in agricultural/environmental research / teaching in a university. Much of the British uplands are grazed to death by too many subsidised anorexic sheep that no one wants to eat. Much better for everyone to retire the farmers allow trees to regenerate or if you want grazing have a few deer. Why should we pay farmers to produce lamb no one wants to eat, and not miners to produce coal?

Yes of course ,it's the source of life . It starts with agriculture ,it's essential, just like oil has been this century etc etc .

I don't want to be multi millionaire (if I get there I promise I'll bank roll Barnsley fc) I want a profit and a living

The average Welsh sheep farmer last year earned £7000 as a salary !!

Support our own that's all I'm saying ,I don't want a fight or slanging match ....

I voted leave for my reasons

Picture a pig, patting itself on the back gleefully as it trots merrily into the slaughterhouse.

See my comment about farmers don't earn a salary. Officially I am a Welsh sheep farmer and I report no income from my 6 sheep.
That zero income is included in the calculation of these averages. The farming unions like us to think farmers are poor so are happy to include all the hobby farmers like me. To be fair many tenant farmers are not rich. But if its so bad, then don't do it. That's how it is in the real world.
