Got to say I am against this idea. It's part of the charm of the BBS, the random and unique nature of it. How hard is it to scroll down or click 'next page'? This should have been a poll before action was taken.
I wonder if you would have done the same if the boot had been on the other foot and the board had been full of posts you were sympathetic to from disgruntled 'Leavers'. It amuses me how many have said "Sour Grapes", when they were the first to post silly vote rigging accusations, when it didn't look like the vote was going their way.
absolutely nowt to do with remain or stay. I didn't even read the content of them. To me they are all referendum posts and were and taking over the forum. I posted very little in the debate before or after the vote. I didn't realise people would think it was just to shut up the remain supporters
What really annoys me is a few posters actually create new threads to disagree about something in a thread what's already created.
Just me complaining is it? In the interest of transparency how many members asked you to split the forum? It is a fair question isn't it?
none, no one asked me to split the forum. I was asked to remove or delete all the politics threads. I thought I was doing the right thing moving them away but still allowing them to be posted, replied etc. Best of both worlds. Some people have made one post saying they don't agree. Yes like always you are the only one making a song and dance about something that isn't really worth the effort. No one has died because of it after all
Are you gonna put up a young nudger sticky so all his threads go into one. He's the worst culprit whatever the subject along with teccytyke
There were two or three usual suspects putting new threads on every post they made. There were plenty of posters who were replying but not creating new threads I think you could have cracked down on those rather than the majority tbh . However I accept your decision.
To remove any confusion I have renamed the forum Referendum 2016 it was never meant to be a permanent thing, only for the referendum which has created an unprecedented amount of posts. Im sure most people realised that anyway
