Agree about his scoring. If you're struggling to score against league one sides in a winning team, it's going to be massively harder in a team that's likely to struggle at a much tougher level. Heart says try and get him back. Head says there are probably better options out there without getting sentimental towards someone who played a big part in last season. Getting sentimental about players keeping them around too long didn't work for Flicker when he showed too much loyalty to those that kept us up and Huddersfield.

Our local preston north end journo thinks it's very unlikely we'll be signing Isgrove. Reasons not yet stated.

As has been mentioned on here, it could well be that his wages are a stumbling block. Not sure what your structure is, but given your similarity in attendances and presumably turnover to BFC, I'm guessing it could have put a spoke in the wheel for both of us.

Why was he hoping to come back then he would have known his wages were out of our reach.

    Yeah possibly.

I bet he's on good money at Southampton, more than the likes of North End and Barnsley can pay. He may have to take a cut if he wants regular Championship football.

Rumours we are in for Ben Pringle, although he plays on a different wing to Isgrove.

Didn't Ben Mansford say last year Isgrove was our biggest earner despite being on loan? Is on 15-20k a week at Southampton. Huge huge probability he won't come back. Let's just move on.

What's the source of the Pringle rumour? Not heard that one anywhere.

it was a me that stated we(pne) want pringle

15-20k is ridiculous. He looks a good player Isgrove but he's done nothing yet at southampton so to find himself on that amount of money there is absurd.

I find it very hard to believe he's on that much.

Ah right ok. Thought the Pringle one was a new one for us. I'll take notice of who is posting next time.:) good player though.

Those numbers for isgrove are what were quoted by a senior member of our management structure last year. Whether it's true or not none of us will ever know.
