Just got a new laptop with windows 10 installed... how do I get to make the icons smaller...it does not seem to have a way to 'My Computer' like the previous versions had... also How do I make a site my preferred site to go onto the net .. I want a site other than Micro- softs site.

Both answers are 5 seconds away via Google.

I think that's what you want to do. Or at least one of the things

I'm assuming you mean desktop icons, right click on desktop background and select View and then small icons. You can have the My Computer which is now My PC on your desktop if you wish, click on the windows flag in the bottom left hand corner, then settings, select personalization and then Themes down the left hand side, select Desktop icon settings and then choose the ones you want on the desktop, hope this helps

Sorry, did you want me to serve both answers to him on a silver platter?

Google is a f*cking wonderful creation.

It's not trolling to suggest someone types exactly the same question in to Google to get the answer within 5 seconds, from google themselves instead of waiting for a reply on here.

    Sounds pretty sensible to me.

It does but then perhaps he wasn't sure how to phrase the question in Google? Or perhaps he wanted somebody to try to explain it to him in simple terms that he would understand?

You can find the answer to practically every question on earth on Google if you use the correct search terms but pretty much every single one of us has asked questions on the bus in the past including yourself

I worded it exactly the same way he did to get the answer within 5 seconds, rather than wait for however long it took you to provide him with that link. The BBS is a fountain of knowledge, but it has nothing on Google.

Let me get this right, so you actually took the time (5 seconds apparently) to find the answer he wanted and then instead of posting it you wrote a sarcastic comment instead? Why? Would it really have hurt you that much to have just helped someone out? If you were that desperate to be sarcastic you could have even posted both!

Well you know, not all answers can be as useful as 'Both answers are 5 seconds away via Google. ' It's a tough act to follow.

Glad you got it sorted mate. Superdyke just needed a moan, and JamDrop just needed some attention. They're a cute little double act :)
