It's not really the same though, is it? Cycling is a sport where doping is endemic. Football isn't a sport where Conor Wilkinson style wannkness is endemic. It appears to be getting better, but the dopers are generally one step ahead of the testers. There will be sprinters who are currently doping. Cav beats them. I don't think it's crazy to say that there's a decent chance he's doping. Similar to Usain Bolt. If you beat dopers there will always be a question mark due to the fact that doping grants a massive edge, and to beat dopers naturally is hard in sports of such fine margins.
Mine was a semi-serious retort, mate. It was in response to old rusty knackers, not thee. I can see where you're coming from with your point, but I find it a poor way of watching sport, assuming anybody great at any particular sport is cheating.
What the ****? Hahahaha. Cav's a sprinter who's off the back every time they hit a hill. He's pretty much the last person anyone would call a doper in cycling.
Who are the sprinters doping? Greipel, Sagan, Kittel, Degenkolb & Kristoff are his rivals, not one has been linked to doping, not one works with suspicious doctors. I've no doubt there's still doping in cycling but it's virtually all for endurance reasons & your climbers who have to be on it every day for 3 weeks. Bolt's clearly different because he's been linked to suspicious doctors, he beats the times of proven dopers, there's next to no anti-doping in Jamaica & several of his training partners & people he lives with in camp have tested positive.
There's hundreds of missed tests by athletes every year. The fact that Cabendish revealed it himself when he had no reason to should tell you the sort of person he is. He might be suspicious to you but he's not to any that knows anything about cycling
He reveal himself. He was outed in newspapers and went nuts about it. He only gave an explanation AFTER it was reported
It's difficult to believe he's clean when he's the only person out of summat like the 13 fastest men of all time not to be implicated in any form of doping. A cynic might say it's in the interests of athletics that he never gets found out if he actually is doping.
Have you seen Greipel's thighs? Granted EPO might not be of a great benefit to sprinters but I'd be very surprised if they are all clean.
His career, I might reluctantly agree, even as a mad cycling enthusiast, what makes you question his character though?
Because if you are a drugs cheat then that obviously shows your character so logically if his career is tainted by the suspicion then his character is too.
