    Dylan Mottley-Henry didn't overly impress me at Stalybridge. Quick he may be but he wasted too many crosses. Early days though so let's give him a chance. Don't expect to see him in the first team though.

    Likewise Kebbie - will be behind Bree, Yiadom and Scowen

    It does say on the website they've both been signed to go into the development squad on 6 months deals.

    From memory they've done that a few times in the past with players signed directly into the development squad. So yes, guessing they are unsure and protecting the down side.

    Have we ever had a development squad signing move up? We seem to sign loads of ex premier academy kids or bright young conference kids for development squad and we pay them a year or so and then release them. Remember signing ones from Newcastle and Liverpool and never seeing them kick a ball in a first team warm up.

    True. Then released him after a year.

    So the first one that breaks through, makes himself a 1st teamer we release for nothing. Seems like something is wrong. We must have been able to get a couple of hundred grand for a top L1 fullback....

    I doubt he'll play for the first team much in the first 6 months. If he does well in the development squad, we might then give him another 1.5-2.5 years thus making him more secure at Oakwell

    On the other hand if he's awful, he can leave in January, and we won't have lost anything
