    Here is a picture of a Liverpool scout's note book. Some famous names here. Andy Gray, Davie Narey, Willie Pettigrew and Alan Hansen.
    Three Barnsley lads. I'm sure some of you guys will be able to educate me on they got on in football. I'd say the note book would be from around 1975.

    Bobby Doyle was a lovely player though. Although we were at that time at the end of probably the worst spell in our history. We'd spent three seasons or so dragging along the bottom four of the fourth division before finishing lower mid table each time. Crowds of about 3000. That's all off the top of my head but that's how my fading, age impaired memory has it. And Bobby Doyle, classy, cultured midfielder though I remember him was probably only good by comparison with the rest of them!

    Think that might be Peter Burke, bit of a donkey if I remember, but if he was on Liverpool's radar shows how much I know.
