    It's horrible to see the state he is in but he doesn't want to help himself. He's been in rehab numerous times and had support from family, former players, managers etc. in his 'efforts' to stop drinking alcohol but he always falls off the wagon - I honestly think he's a lost cause.

    Clearly unable to escape his demons but also seemingly without trusted people to help him regularly? Just an assumption, obviously he can't be cared for 24/7 but he cuts a desperately lonely figure. Hope he eventually gets through this. Whether your a world famous footballer or some normal bloke sat on a street corner it's horrible to see.

    Bloody sad. Some of his play at euro 96 was genius a real privilege to watch. Someone needs to help him but I'm not sure anyone can.

    Sad to see as he's arguably our most technically gifted football player ever. I don't get why he's still seen as an hero though, whilst Stan Collymore is seen as a knob for beating up a woman. Both have previous in it but are treated at total opposite ends of the specturm. Because of his demons and international career Gazza gets off lightly in comparison.

    Strange with some on here isn't it. Jack Wilshere smokes and gets battered for it. This guy could and been arrested for exposing himself in public and people are saying or poor guy.

    he's an alcoholic Mario.

    For what he's doing a lot of people without his fame would have been in Prison many times. But he gets people to spend tens of thousands on him for treatment and flying him to the United States.

    Ask people in Barnsley that have the problem if they get the same opportunity's.
