An excellent signing in my opinion. 40 goals in the last two seasons. Very much a poacher like Winnall but has that extra pace. I'm not sure I'd play TB and SSW together upfront, too similar for that. It would give us fantastic options in attack though.
From the Walsall forum: "last note on Tom great finisher at League 1 level absolutely no doubting that, but for me the Championship will be a step to far. His lack of pace, power and ability to go past his man will see him flop"
And had he stayed, he'd have been the best thing since sliced bread and more than capable of stepping up into the Championship. We're all bitter sods when players leave. Let's see how he does
I would give the same description about Winnall. Not a flop but struggle. We will see and hope for the best. A lot depends on the service. The goals are still the same size.
I've seen Tom play quite a bit with all the Walsall Barnsley games recently. I can tell you he has a fair bit of pace and he's pretty good in the air. Caused us all sorts of problems overall in the past few seasons.
He doesn't often look like he has pace but he shifted for his second goal against Walsall in the first leg. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I really think Bradshaw's the real deal. He looks good in the air to me and strong, a different type of player to Winnall. I'm looking forward to watching them two form a partnership if we get him. Both are willing to do work outside the box but both will also look to get on the end of things. May need a bit of compromise and turn taking as it were, but my gut reaction is to be excited about the prospect of those two together.
He sailed past the Walsall defence for his second in the semi with one of them hanging onto his arm! He's not lightning but he ain't bad!
Out of 2 strikers who hit 20 goals each in League One you'd hope one of them could make the step up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's a strange world. I was raging during the first leg of the semi. Bradshaw spent the entire game not engaging in the air with Mawson and Roberts but shoving them before the ball reached them. Time and time again. Now he could be ours I'm prepared to overlook it, lol.
I don't know a huge amount about Bradshaw like most of us really. However, he's 23 and has scored 17 league goals in each of his last 2 seasons at League One level. He's exactly the type of player we should be looking to buy, like any player he's a gamble but I'm more than happy to give him a shot at this level. Let's hope him and Winnall get the chances they're going to require in this league.
Yes I remember that now you've mentioned it. Strange tactics to dink it up to his head against those 2, no wonder he didn't get a sniff.
And even more when he snapped his hamstring. He can still finish though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If both of them only score 50% of the goals they did last season, they'd have had decent first seasons at this level, assuming others around them chipped in with their fair share too. Hammill, Hourihane, Watkins, Moncur etc. If both continue to score for fun, we're laughing. If both flop big time, we'll live..
right age we aiming at young and hungry right manager gets best out of him not championship standard well look at marc roberts conference to L1 best reds central defender since mick mccarthy #believeandkeepthefaith
