The quality of the opposition doesn't look great. Maybe they gave in after the first went in, as apparently we'd been dominant from the start?

But as the old saying goes, you can only beat what's in front of you. Had we been as dominant as we were and only managed a goal or 2 then questions may have been asked.

Definitely mate. I'm not trying to belittle anything. Just making an observation. Perhaps their defenders had a couple of pints in the clubhouse at half time?

Quality. That would go in regardless of the opposition.

Great finish from Hammill! Some very dodgy defending from them though...

They did give him a lot of space. Nearly as much as Millwall did in fact!

You've got to consider fitness levels as well though. Ours will have been streets ahead of theirs which probably explains why they were giving us some kind of a game earlier on but collapsed like a pack of cards once the goals started flying in. Maybe the bad tackle that Adam was so grumpy about was down to poor fitness and lack of judgement. Didn't he make them pay though!

All six goals were good and needed work to get them. There were no own goals or goalkeeping howlers. Well made, well executed. Even the first one where Payne had to make a good block tackle before scoring. I know the standard of defending is going up several notches from next Saturday but, even so, well done lads. If Brizzle can thump another local team 7-0 away it's good that we went down there and did something similar.

Three or four more at Whaddon Road on Tuesday will be nice. One of my old grounds from when I used to be GloucesterRed - used to really enjoy watching Gloucester and Cheltenham in those pre-Barnsley player commentary days. Little radio clamped to my ear hoping for the "and now there's been a goal at Oakwell" announcements.
