Been down for a home shirt (large) and there are none left. Next order doesn't come in till September It's the middle of July and we've already run out. Do they order them in batches of 100? I know some people on here don't like you to have a pop at the club but bloody hell that's amateurish.
Maybe there is a bit of "pre-Premier league" stuff going on, and thousands and thousands have been in and emptied the shelves. So much feel good factor around the club that they've been taken unawares? Trying to make excuses here but if they really are not getting any more until September then that is a big commercial mistake.
Just read your post again - are you saying the Large sizes don't come in until September, or are they out of all sizes? If it's just that one size it's not so bad, but if it is ALL sizes then it's a disaster. I can only dream of fitting into such a small shirt myself Edit: just checked the website and only Small and Medium available at the moment. Hmmm.... what about all those sales we could have made on Saturday before the Everton match? Or maybe a truck is due to roll into the car park in the next day or two
I asked and they said next delivery was at the beginning of September. Bloke behind me also wanted one for his lad's birthday next month and had the same response. He said he'd take an XL instead but there were none of them either. Maybe his lad will be getting a Man United shirt instead.
Get on the treadmill and get yourself into a medium, fatty. Or put some weight on, get eating those pies and get yourself an XL, skinnyar5e.
From what I understand they have to place the initial order part way through the previous season and base the orders on past sales data. Presumably the feel good factor of promotion it's not something that could be factored in at that time.
no matter how you look at it this is poor I cannot accept that they cannot get a 'Rush' order to get more shirts due to the demand. Also they have an open day on the horizon so they really ought to pull out the stops to get more in for that I would have thought. Its a no brainer really and if they do not then they are piss poor businessmen IMHO.
But to run out before the season starts? Before the open day even? I'd accept the excuses if this hadn't happened Every. Single. Year.
Wonder how many of the people banging on about replica shirts, were actually planning on buying one.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well as the op started the thread by saying that he went to the shop to buy one then I'd hazard a guess that he was. I'd also take a wild guess and say that the bloke behind him wanted one too.
haha - nice one. Not been able to get in a Medium for 30 years due to my huge biceps and 6-pack lol. Stand more chance with the XL and pies though.
Trust Barnsley football club to run out of replica shirts the week before the event where they probably sell the most shirts. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
But considering they ran out last year and the year before maybe there is a flaw with their system. Where I work a customer regularly calls asking for a specific product and I tell them sorry we have none in stock. I spoke to the buyer and asked if we can keep a stock of one or two and was told there is no point stocking it because he's checked the sales figures and nobody buys it. So I said that I've it a customer wanting to buy one every couple of days. He looks at the computer and tells me I'm wrong, there is no evidence n the system of selling one every two days. Yes because we haven't got any to sell... Essentially you can only sell what you stock, if you don't stock enough you can't increase sales figures and if you then reorder based on your previous supply limited sales figures then you will never ever satisfy demand
Surely Puma can produce some more fairly quickly?! Isn't it a standard design with our badge on? I'll be staggered and appalled in equal measure if it's 6 weeks until they get more large shirts in - probably the most popular size I'd guess.
I've had to get a size too big because of this and yes I could have waited but bloody September ! We will all have jerseys and coits by then ! What's the point of paying £45 for something that's going to be covered up ?
