Now I know that's not what people will be posting/ Tweeting/ facebooking about because they can't dig at the club with that figure like it's going to charge 200 pounds next season to see a game against the **** of **** but that's the figures. If we are to be charged 32/33 quid down at Portman road then it fits in. Now if the club CAN offer a members card for say 5 quid pound then that would be great. Saying that some will still moan about that.
Exactly. Even at £38 it's a bargain. Proper fans would just pay it. The moaners need to chill the **** art. They're just criticising the club for the sake of it. Which grinds my gears. In fact, it boils my piss.
Just like I hinted in the first thread. People coming out with Figures to suit their attack of Barnsley Football Club. There will be NO need for anyone to pay £38 at the home Barnsley FC Oakwell.
proper fan post Alert, also pleased you can afford it, because with that pricing plus travel etc the club have effectively priced me out of the bigger games.
Good lad, Phil. Just stick a Winnall/Bobby or German flavour into this and we're looking at a three pager. I do actually agree with you in the main. People are seeing the £38 and frothing at the mouth. As I've hinted elsewhere, it'll be £28 on average over the season, 'worst case' scenario. In my opinion. Similar to our last season at the level.
Why? its true for the big games isn't it ? That's what people are complaining about a two tier system for fans, ones that can afford the big games and the rest!
It's high and you see the figures Whitey and it's a lot. Now it's one that maybe Gally could answer or maybe tomorrow by Linton Brown/ Patrick Cryne. How legal are the 5 pound off members cards for say 5/10 pounds.
I'm not sure what your point is there (which is probably just me missing the obvious) but what I meant was that even though you can think logically and say that on average it is x amount and that if you do this and that it is only whatever price the problem is that when they release a complicated pricing strategy then the majority of people only see the headline grabbing piece of information and that is the £38 top price. The club only have themselves to blame for that because they know, or should know, that that is the case
If you were the sort of person who would attend all 5 games you would probably have a season ticket so you miss the point somewhat. If only we were like the Germans who treat fans with respect and dignity and don't rip them off.
I did think of this and it's a similar price if you go to the 3 Saturday games listed maybe a bit less. £25.33.
Pricing in this country to watch football is disgraceful and really shouldn't be. Let me make that clear. I cannot say 'well done' to the club for increasing prices again. But 10,000 fans will be paying £15 per game maximum. Most of them for the next two seasons. That doesn't help the likes of myself and I really am saddened by the lack of flexi or membership offers. But strip it all back and whether it's **** or *****, folk like me will be paying a few quid more than last year and the same as we did when last at this level.
I have friends who come 3 Saturday's in a season. Friends who work Saturdays and only attend weekday games. I have mates who I can cajole into bringing their kids if we are doing well and have recruited a good half a dozen of our next generation of fans by doing this. These groups have been abandoned and won't come.
What about if you're a fan who works Saturdays so can only attend evening games? These are the games with lowest demand according to the football league which is why they are trying to limit them by bringing in premiership b teams. Considering they are lowest demand and therefore should be cheapest games what does the average price work out at for evening games?
Sorry to hear that but the club can with the figures i've used say well it's 2/3 quid a game. Sorry but we need to compete. The figures like ST said I think are headlining but so far we've not got one at that level and I think 18/19 games will be 30 quid or less.
