And we've just voted to give the a free run Not the centre ground conservative The proper ******* ones That's exactly what we voted for the other week The people of barnsley decided that we.would be benefit supporting the Thames Valley over the dearne Valley
Also I didnt realise according to your assessment that the EU referendum was voting on who runs our country.
Hardly true. By staying in we would have been bound up with TTIP which would have seen large tracts of the NHS privatised. Furthermore The London area voted to Remain in the undemocratic Union.
And you think a tory govenment desperate to do deals with anyone post brexit will be able to negotiate a deal with the USA without TTIP when the EU as a whole couldn't (though deal not yet finalised). I'm not holding my breath on that one
Funding has actually increased year on year in the NHS so it's inaccurate to say the problem is simply down to funding because it isn't. I know somebody who works within the A & E area of a large hospital and they tell me that the single biggest issue crippling it is the volume of non emergency cases that are coming through the department. The needs of the NHS have become increasingly complex and the way it is managed and funded has to be reviewed because the current model is broken and isn't fit for purpose any longer. The increasing life expectancy of the nation, the unprecedented rise in the population, unnecessary / cosmetic operations, health tourism and changes in life style are all contributory factors. People keep saying that it is being privatised but it isn't; any sensible government will look at ways of improving efficiency without having disproportionately increase the cost to taxpayers. PFIs were a Labour policy and these were exactly the same thing - an effort to increase efficiency. Just the other day there was a spokesman on the radio from an NHS trust (I can't recall the trust) advising people only to go to A & E or phone an ambulance in and emergency because they were overwhelmed with people needing assistance for weather related complaints - most of which were unlikely to be genuine emergencies.
The NHS is massively inefficient and outmoded, cancer survival rates are so poor they're better in Eastern Europe. What we need to do is copy the system they have in France/Italy/Spain, a mixture of public and private money which works much better than the almost third-world NHS. If a French doctor suspects you have cancer you will be given tests the same day. Of course this will never happen, the NHS being a sacred cow.
According to Cameron and the Tories the waiting list at A&E has gone down! Unemployment is at its lowest rate since 1845 and this has been possible because of OUR STRONG ECONOMY!!! For Christs sake if its anyones fault its Corbyns!!!
Yes yes but it's all going change dramatically now. More unemployment will see less funding and moving the birder back our side of the channel will see imegration increase too
Its a manipulation of the truth to say that there has been any increase in NHS funding over the last 6 years given it has not risen in line with inflation. Any independent expert will tell you the NHS is understaffed and underfunded. Any NHS employee will tell you the same. Game-changing moment for the NHS in England? - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-36858852
sorry if i insulted or annoyed anyone with my rant but i was very tired having waited over 7 hours for treatment that took about 20 minutes to sort i wasnt going to go in the first place but i had to in the end i felt sorry for the lad who was that bad he couldnt walk, his foot was going purple at one point hope he is ok now
"Cancer: Hospitals are meant to start treatment on patients who receive an urgent referral by a GP within 62 days for 85% of patients." Christ! I never realised the time scales were so long. And now they're suggesting that target could be relaxed. I think the game changed a long time ago.
I work in the nhs and feel mightily priviledged to do so. However i do feel the public would be shocked if they knew what was really happening. On a daily basis we are being refused the staff required to safely manage our wards. This is being purposely done by managenment, senior and sadly lower. I fight this and have indeed whistleblown with significant supportive evidence but nothing is changing. My peers whinge and whine but are afraid to challenge, they wish to progress but do not want to be seen as 'troublemakers'. It is completely and utterly demoralising.
Yep. It's exactly why I left the NHS to work in private health. For my own sanity. Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
People should have thought about the NHS recently. But they decided to follow a man who said we should all get private health insurance
My missus works at BRI (Bradford Ozzy), she's an admin manager and her workload is ridiculous. She's given other jobs to do because of a lack of staff. She won't say no, she feels the need to make it work somehow but I hate her being so down about work at times and basically being taken advantage of. She doesn't get extra pay for the extra work. The Tories and Labour before that are at fault, and greedy basterds. Probably the same thing.
The NHS, BBC, Royal Family, all way past their sell-by date. It's not funding, I've worked in the NHS and there's loads of waste, it's not even management, it's the Neo-Stalinist nature of it, it's unmanageable.
