So at the moment, is the team better or worse than the one that finished the season?

Personally, think it is no better, and to survive in the Championship it needs to be.

Only time will answer that question mate I think 2 or 3 more signings and hopefully we'll be equipped to not only survive but flourish in the championship I do believe that we have the right owner and manager in place to steer BFC to a comfortable placing

Not sure Fletcher & Brownhill have been adequately replaced, but that's me knowing nothing about the new signings as much as anything.

I think we need at least 4 more players:
    1 x left back
    1x centre back
    1 x central midfielder
    1 x winger
    and that's a bare minimum.

Re: So at the moment, is the team better or worse than the one that finished the seas

We need a right winger and we have a starting 11 sorted

    Davies
    Yiadom
    Mawson
    Roberts
    White
    AN Other
    Hourihane
    Moncur
    Hammill
    Winnall
    Bradshaw

    doesnt leave much for subs

    Townsend
    Bree
    Scowen
    Tuton
    Lee
    Nyatanga
    Evans

If we go 451 Scowen replaces one of the front 2. I'd hope we don't get many injuries!

I'd say slightly worse. I think Bradshaw and Moncur are good signings but otherwise I think once again we have been slow in our recruitment and we find ourselves on the cusp of the season with 4 or 5 players needed to make us competitive.

We need a winger with pace and a centre mid. I'd like to see a CB with championship experience come in too (Long?), and yeah maybe a younger left back.

Re: So at the moment, is the team better or worse than the one that finished the seas

    I don't know.
I don't know whether our squad rebuilding has been completed, but I doubt it.
I don't know that the likes of Davies, Roberts, Mawson, White, Watkins, Scowen, Hourihane, Hammill & Winnall have reached their peak yet. They were all amongst a group & team of players some regarded as the worst to ever have played for Barnsley, so by that judgement call I don't know how they could've played such wonderful promotion and trophy winning football!:D
I don't know if Andy Yiadom is better than George Williams. I don't know whether George Moncur is better than Josh Brownhill. I don't know that Tom Bradshaw is better than Ashley Fletcher. I DO know that I'm looking forward to watching them playing for Barnsley.
I DO know I can't wait for the start of the new season. I DO know that I trust Hecky's judgement call on the squad he's creating more than anyone else's.

With you Big Lil. We are still short, but there is still time to recruit and some Premiership loans, which always happen late.

Hard to say. Also worth noting that most of our team are 20-25 & will still be improving

Before a ball has been kicked, I think that's a daft and unanswerable question. I know nowt about football, but I know an inexplicable, philosophical paradox when I see one. :D
