    1) No it was overpriced for tinpot cup against a 4th division team.

    2) No it was overpriced and I didn't like opposition.

    3) Barnsley fans go to watch Barnsley not who we are playing. So in affect it's now costing more than last season to watch the same team.

Very easy to say that now but do you think had we been relegated last season to league 2 we would have sold 9500 season tickets because everyone has come to watch barnsley and not bothered who the opposition is.

We'd have sold less tickets, but I go to watch Barnsley as the team I support. I'm very happy we are in an higher league, but the teams we play don't particularly interest me. I will get no more excited this season playing teams like Reading and Brentford as I did last season against teams such as Walsall.

So you argument "barnsley fans go to watch barnsley" isn't totally true. So you won't look forward to watching Barnsley play Newcastle or Leeds with a packed away end as opposed to fleetwood or rochdale who it probley cost us more to open the away end than we make on the traveling support?

I will look forward to watching us play competitive games again after a two month break. I dunno if I will enjoy the games against them teams yet because we've not played them, so I don't know the results.

Personally speaking, I couldn't care less who we play, Newcastle holds the exact same excitement for me as Fleetwood.

In another thread you quoted me saying "If home/away are similar prices you are better off going away so you get more for your money by being able to make an whole day of it." For the home games would you not agree it's better to play the bigger teams with the better players who attract more fans and create a better atmosphere.

That's great but for alot of people that isn't the case hence why we have sold more season tickets. And why people aren't happy that the villa, Wednesday and Newcastle games will be a higher price.

I'm not happy that they are that price, not because of who we are playing but because they are that price.
