To quote Patrick Cryne: "We will not be selling any player to Bristol City"

I bet we would if they offered 2-3million.

We refuse to do business with Bristol City, what is there not to get?

I'd like to think he's worth more than that.

Does he want the move though? Very rare a club will continue bidding for a player unless they're sure he wants it.

I was told he's been after a move.

Hopefully he'll stay unless a bid of over £4 million comes in.

I'm going to be controversial here by saying that I think he's overrated.

Against Everton he was slow and didn't read their players' runs at all. First half against Millwall, he lost every aerial challenge against Morrison but did improve second half. I know these are only two examples , and I would prefer us to keep him, but I just think he's not as good as some on here think.

There you go. I've said it. :nails:

Amazes me how the little **** is constantly covered by people not believing he has anything to do with the transfer dealings at whichever club he's at.

He's a brilliant player. Better than Stones was on the ball. Terrific in the air, strong in the tackle and reads the game brilliantly. Looked a bit out of shape against Everton though.

Every player has his price. I would not sell for anything less than £3m in today's market. I thought his body language was a bit off on Saturday and wondered if his head had been turned. Whatever we get for him though, he will be very difficult to replace at this late stage. Maybe Kevin Long is a possibility?

I'm not saying that at all, I didn't even imply that. He and our head scout draw up a list, which is then passed on Mark Ashton(Chief Executive) who bids and buys the players.

You'll want rid by Christmas, he'd be very lucky to have the circumstances land in his lap 2 seasons on the trot, that happened here for him. But we'll see I suppose

Suppose a lot comes down to what the player wants, I'm sure Alfie won't be clamouring for the opportunity to be reunited with Lee Johnson but if a firm bid comes in from Newcastle then surely he would like the opportunity to go there? If they offer below our perceived valuation of him then I think Patrick has limited power to stand his ground.

He has 2 years worth of contract pulling power to stand his ground.
