    Some good some very bad.

During the 90 minutes though there was too many individual errors. Something that was happening first half of last season.

First 20/25 minutes of the second half looked good.

Thought Bree looked good. When on the front foot he reads the game so quickly. Example of this was just before he got injured. On the front foot, spotted the ball was short and then when it's ball at feet he's very good.

Moncur, think we saw what he was more about tonight. Good link up play 20/30 yards higher then when he plays centre mid.

Bradshaw. thought he linked okay. Made some nice runs. Can see he's very confident in a 1 which he played well at Walsall.

Evens, doesn't look out of place. Not sure why people keep saying we need a replacement. Looked a nice player. Something a bit different to Aidy.

How does Evans look to attack?

I saw him try go down the outside a few times tonight but he never actually got chance to put a cross in. Does he check back in?

Yes, he's predominantly right footed so does this naturally.

i'd imagine he will, But sometimes that ball can be the best. In swing back post. Pin the full back with Marley Watkins in the air but I get your point.

And.... so.... He was injured for 90% of last season and before that he was at that little club in Manchester.

Think they call them Manchester United, Not sure though but heard they are a big deal.

Well that's alreight then. If he's never played as long as he's never played while at a big club that shouldn't have any affect on his game. Players don't need games.

Totally agree mate. I mean that lad Fletcher we had last season, you know the one that was 20 and had never played a professional game? Terrible wasn't he.

Roberts. He's very much some good but some bad isn't he Marc. Giving the ball aways one of Robert's things he seems to do best. Either over hit long or getting it wrong short. Needs to tighten it up.

Sam Winall. Really what's he doing. The team are putting it on a golden plate for him but he can't do the easy thing a pick a spot from 6 yards. Was watching Tommy Wright and with it been quiet you could hear him. Not best pleased with some of Sam's link up or defensive work.

Yes. Thought by back end of season Roberts had started to improve on the ball. Thats why it's annoying that he's been sloppy.

I know he gets hero worship on here..........and I know I often say things that lets say 'don't go with the flow' on this message board.........but I've been saying it for sometime now about Winnall ........at times he struggled in the 1st Division - and it isn't going to get any easier playing against Championship level players.
If he doesn't improve I would expect him to be nowhere near the first team come Christmas.
    Mark my words on this.
    I hope I'm proved wrong.

He might make the step up or he might not but there seem to be some people on this board who appear to hope that he doesn't. Not including you in that Nudge btw

So the conclusion is that him not playing any games means absolutely nothing about his potential really. He may be a fletcher orange may be a Rothwell.
The only thing we can say is that the system is very wrong when it allows big clubs like Manchester united to sign so many young players and keep them hanging around without ever playing them. It is wrong that those clubs can use their wealth to do this, harming the players career significantly, harming the national team and harming the smaller clubs. It is wrong that young players put money before football and are happy to sit on their arses till they're in their early twenties because they're picking up a fat paycheck.

The solution? As I've said before, scrap the loan system entirely. Force clubs to decide whether they want to have this player stagnating for years. Force the player to decide whether he wants a few years of money with no football and no future or whether he wants to sign for a lower club and actually play football. It's just too easy for a young kid to sign for man utd knowing he will be out on loan in a few months AND earning the money

Not too.long ago Roberts was playing for Halifax Town.
    Hourihane for Plymouth
    Winnall for Scunny
    Mawson and Scowen for Wycombe
Hammill was on the scrap heap

    These players are progressing nicely
