Put forward some good policy ideas today.

Shame, when I look at him all I see is the lovechild of Neil Kinnock & Tony Blair

LOL, I guess you don't like him either...

Good that the agenda in the Labour Party has been moved back to discussing actual policies. Miliband forgot about that bit, as seem to have most of the PLP

Totally. Why isn't the lovely person behind him then one asks?

At least people in the Labour Party are talking about socialism.

There's no such thing as Socialism . Its an impossible dream that will never happen . Ideological politics fool a lot of people.

Because just maybe the balance has to be found between great ideas and social reform, and having the vaguest chance of actually being voted into power to implement them.

He's said he wants to end zero hours contracts, by possibly making companies pledge to 1 hour.

    Radical huh?

I'm well versed in that argument. Sadly we need to move on from Tony Blair & Gordon.
If you think that period (I was swinging from the rooftops about the election win 1997 ), was a success for the country & equality then you win.

If not you may have to accept the Labour Party needs a reboot.
This latest leadership contest is only going to strengthen Corbyn & I welcome that personally.

Take the label away, is it an impossible dream to have a less unequal society with a fairer distribution of wealth? Or do we have to accept that money will be ever increasingly concentrated in the hands of a smaller proportion of people?

I think, and hope, what most labour supporters would like to see is a candidate that, whilst representing the values we hold dear (those the likes of Blair trampled all over for his own agenda) also has the balance and charisma to engage a nation. If the right candidate with the right principles was leader then we could all unite. There is no hope if the party tears itself apart. I understand people's love in for Corbyn. Although anecdotally having attended the same grammar school that Corbyn did I really worry about the person behind these noble ideas.

    Why?

It's like saying that women would never get the vote, black people wouldn't in the 60's in the USA, gay marriage wouldn't be passed, loads of stuff.
Politicians have to start speaking the truth & things need to be changed.
Maybe you don't want them to change?
    Fair enough.
If you do, then do something & don't get fecked up the arse by the Tories.
