Got to agree Phil. Some decent posts lately, but we know you don't rate SSW or Robbo, there's just no point constantly making that clear and giving folk ammunition. Keep up the good work. Be with us, and be of us
The post wasn't to make out I don't like certain players. It was Jose's made it clear to some players apparently that they aren't needed 2016/2017. People on here have said Barnsley need x,y and Z. They fit the list above. I don't make posts anymore to wind people up. I post for them to have a point and it works. They get posts and I would hope debate.
HE gets people interested. He's different and Like Keith Hill to Jose Mourinho it's about making the players happy. Giving them confidence......
I don't. I'm a fan of Bree. For me he's the other player in the squad that would be valued at seven figures.
It might well be in the Liverpool Echo but that doesn't necessarily make it gospel. That's like saying you believe everything that The Star comes out with! It's an unenforceable rule, surely. No club should be able to dictate to another club who to pick in their first team.
They aren't saying you HAVE to play the player in any games but if you don't then theres a penalty Fee to be paid. It makes sense really. Not sure if it's something Barnsley could do but that would be a good thing.
The clubs propaganda machine has worked wonders with Mawson. Young lad,c instantly talked about future value. Given captaincy. Undroppable. Played badly but never commented on by manager. Played badly but still praised by owner. Value talked about more and more. Speculation of potential future interest regularly mentioned by owner. Handed young player of the season award by some very convenient eligibility criteria and constant talking up during the voting. Kerching By the way I've nothing against him at all, he's a good player with bags of potential but he's not as amazing currently as he's made out to be. Roberts is performing better in my opinion
There's nothing to choose between Alfie and Robbo. Marc allows Alfie to be the player he is. To us, they are as valuable as each other to the team. Alfie is probably the more desirable in the transfer market, but Robbo had the better season. It would be very interesting to see how Alfie copes without Robbo by his side. I like them both, it's the most complete centre partnership since Macca & Evans, they might even be as good one day. But you wouldn't be interested in that old crap...
Completely agree. He made a similar amount of individual errors during the first half of the season as Nyatanga did & in my opinion was out performed by Long & then by Roberts in the second half of the season
We aren't getting any of them young players. Fosu-Mensah & Borthwick-Jackson will have premiership interest & the rest will have richer championship clubs interested in them
Apologies if I have missed something and I am happy to stand corrected but I just can't see the club, and especially Hecky, agreeing to such an imposition. Surely we would not accept being held to ransom like this, no matter who the player is and however talented he may be. Such a contract must be a minefield to draw up and interpret, for all parties concerned. There are so many loopholes to consider. Players require motivation to train, play and better themselves. How do you motivate a player who knows he has to be picked no matter how good or bad his performances are? ...as he has no incentive to perform to a certain standard in order to keep his place on the team, etc, etc, etc
Agreed. some people spend too much time on FM 2016. I would rather back our players and watch them develop under Hecky all day long.
