There's also a reason why you're being linked with a number of centre backs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nyatanga hasn't featured in pre season at all, which to say we have 3 centre halves and a very young kid in Cowgill, suggests he's unlikely to be here for much of the last year of his contract. The owner did a Q&A with the fans last week and stated vehemently he wouldn't sell to Bristol City. We shall see, but if you do end up getting him, I suspect you'll end up paying well over the odds for him.
Agree. If you said he's not a footballer I'd agree with that too. Anyway, do me a favour - if you see your chairman thank him for me and tell him he's a personal hero of mine.
You're naming places in Bristol that are absolutely fine. I presume you live in Barnsley, in which case Bedminster would be like your version of Clifton Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bristol city are the second biggest football club in a rugby town Moving to them would be a backwards step
Will do, he's a personal hero of ever city fan there is as well. Where the **** we'd be without him I'd hate to imagine. Since taking owner ship he's spent over 100 million on sport in Bristol, including the rugby team, women's team, basketball. Although that 100 million is like change to him, with his worth of over 2 billion, and that's why he doesn't expect it back. So there we have it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Classic banter, love it. You're what, the 8th biggest team in Yorkshire? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Strange... with all that money, you'd think he could afford to appoint a good manager, wouldn't you? ;-) There's been huge amounts thrown at football clubs with uber wealthy owners down the years, and so many of them are in the championship, hoping they can break into the Premiership. Only 3 places every year and the ever increasing advantage relegated teams have. Still, good luck for the season.
I've got no axe to grind with Bristol City, we're just two clubs 200 miles apart who are in the same division. There is absolutely no bitterness when I say this but I think you've got some pain to come with Johnno. He thinks he has a cerebral approach to the game. He doesn't. It's all flannel. He plays the most tedious football I have ever seen and tries to dress it up as "technical". He's a conman. Like Martinez and Rodgers. Largely turgid and ineffective football hiding behind possssion stats. As I say, I can't show any ill will towards Bristol City but I hope Johnno is a spectacular failure. However, I am eternally grateful to your chairman.
Okay mate, if you say so. Must surprise you to hear that Bristol has been named the best city to live in recent years. Anyway, I can't take anything you say serious after you said nyatanga was a right back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
