At the minute I dont think it's a better or more balanced side that cruised through the playoffs.

Fletcher was an all round striker. Thats the reason he'll be playing Premier League football next season.

Brownhill for me is naturally suited to the 4-4-2. I see Moncur as our man to play the 4-4-1-1.

Isgrove was the perfect balance between defence and attack for a winger. I dont know what Kents energy is like when pressing.

I dont think we are stronger but we still have enough. Still addictions to me made as well.

One thing we do lack is pace up front. Still desperate for a striker in the Fletcher mould.

I only see Brownhill as being a loss, I don't see where we've replaced him. I like the look of Bradshaw, Moncur and Kent. I think Payne has been surprise and I've not seen Yiadom to make any judgement. Overall I'd say stronger, but not like for like stronger.

I think that we still need cover in central defence, unless the plan is to play Scowen, or D'Almeria in the middle at the back if cover is needed. I know we have Nyatanga still, but think that is our least strong area in terms of cover for injuries.

I think the plan is definitely to bolster. MacDonald looks likely and we've been linked to Reece Burke. Agree we need at least one more proper centre half

Looking forward to seeing em in action. Honestly no idea what to expect. All untried at this level.

I get your point on Brownhill but I think Scowen is that replacement.

For the run in we never used him in his natural position and I think him and Hourihane in the middle of a 4-4-2 (or a 4-5-1/4-4-1-1) when Moncur plays could be the reason we end up beating the drop.

I see the point about Scowen, I just hope he shows a bit more discipline (positionally) this season. I hope he and Hourihane can dovetail as well as the middle pair did 2nd half of last season. I'm not against 4-5-1/4-4-1-1 with the right players at all. I do like Scowen btw, but he's very much all action.

I think against certain teams in this league, especially away from home, 4-4-2 could be almost suicidal. That's where I think slotting Moncur in to midfield will really help us be more solid and harder to break down.

At home I'd pretty much always stick to 4-4-2 (unless it proves to be a disaster from the off!) and go at teams and be confident we've got enough energy and quality to match anyone in a one off game.

Scowen has looked class in pre-season. I think he could be a star player and slightly under the radar initially.

Not sure if we've got better but we've certainly got adequate replacements in Bradshaw & Moncur especially. And factor in they're ours for 3 years & it's been a good Summer. Club should be proud in comparison to previous few years.

I don't see the uncertainty with Scowen . He's been 100% with his energy and enthusiasm in every game I've seen him, with no little quality to add . More than an able replacement for Brownhill for me . I think we should have pushed a little harder for Isgrove though , that would have been the right side done and dusted .

Maybe he is, but Brownhill seemed to work very well with Hourihane allowing them both to flourish. Not really seen that happen with Scowen and CH yet. I'm happy to be wrong.

I hope so .But then what do we do with Ryan Kent and his 75% appearances ? Maybe sub Hammill on 89 minutes every game .
