No. Maybe you should. Closer to Oakwell. Mind, that wasn't the excuse you came up with for never going was it? Just remind me of the reason again.
Serious question, do you think someone who is nigh on 24 and played most of his football at conference level will be able to cut it in the championship?
Was at Reading Academy at time money was getting splashed around still. Done well in lower league. Young & tall. Good backup to Alfie & Marc.
Serious illness in the family...You'll be pleased to know he's passed away. Booking tickets for Derby, Rovrum and Reading games next week. Want to meet up?
Why not jamie vardy, Charlie Austin, Andre gray all came from non league to play championship level and I only remember these because they have been prolific goalscorers they are probley plenty more. Danny ing, Chris smalling, Lee tomin, dwight gayle have all come from non league. Because Newcastle are paying 5 million for ciaran Clarke from vilast does that garentee he will be the best defender in the league?
We signed Marc Roberts last summer. He was 24 at the time, a centre half from non league. That went well. Might not work out for Angus, but did it work out well when we signed Rob Edwards, Martin Cranie and Jean-Yves M'Voto? Not an exact science, recruitment. But whoever's leading ours has made more good than bad signings in the last year or two, under this 'young and hungry' strategy. I have never seen the lad play, I don't think. I'm assuming he's here to compete with Alfie and Robbo? And perhaps a young Premier League loanee centre half too? I'm assuming Nyatanga is on the way out.
Nyatanga is a weird one. Played at this level. A lot of the times pretty well. Lost it in the lower league. Weird. Not trying? Lost confidence? Can't see him getting played, especially after we put Scowen in the full back position last season. This lad looks good back up.
I've found the post I'm referring to. Surprise surprise, other supporters were apparently the reason you had only been to three games by Christmas.
Aye...T'was a reason also...but to call me a filthy liar about my main reason for missing matches last season...As I say let's meet up.
